Leo P.O.V

Since Chris took the car, we had to go to the cinema by foot. My footsteps were heavy and quick but somehow Maki could still keep my pace relatively well. Suddenly, I stopped on my tracks.

Leo: "No, hum...It's just incense!"...Bullshit!! There's no incense in the world that smells like cigarettes...Ugh...Is she trying to make a fool out of me?

Maki: I agree...but it doesn't look like she would want to make a fool out of us...

She took my hand, bringing it to her lips. I could feel her hot breath on my fingertips, which I found really comforting somehow.

Maki: I'm not going to lie to you, I thought I saw someone else in the room when I entered.

My almost closed eyes shoot open in a matter of seconds upon the pronunciation of that phrase. The words "someone else" kept echoing in my mind like some sort of mantra.

Leo: Someone else...someone else...Matthew Healy! That's it, I'm almost sure it was him!

I know Maki was taking it into consideration since her expression changed to a more serious one and her grip on my hand softened even more than it already was.

Maki: Actually you might be right...That's the only one we can take into consideration since Chris was out, both of us were on your room and I think I heard her whisper a few things that she ended with Matthew... Considering all our evidence, our culprit has a...98% of chance of being Matthew, if my calculations are right of course.

Leo: Maki, You're a genius!

I exclaimed taking her in my arms before kissing her.

Leo: I'm so glad I have a girlfriend this smart!

She blushed a lot and hid her face on the crook of my neck.

Maki: Shut up...It's only math, everyone can do it...

Leo: Well, I suck at it so...It's amazing in my point of view! And you even did it mentally, that's the most amazing part of all this!

Her face grew even redder at my words.

Maki: Stop, you're going to make my heart explode if you keep that up...

I giggled, hugging her tight a little longer before letting go.

Leo: Come on, we should get going if we want to be in time for the movie.
