Hey, guys. I apologize for exciting you if you thought this was a legit update, especially since the story is labeled as "On Hold", but that doesn't mean I'm not working on anything.

I will be putting everything on hold for a while.

I figured I should let you guys know WHY I'm holding all work for the next... Well... Who knows how long. Shouldn't be more than a couple weeks.

My uncle (pictured) had a cyst on his back. He had it surgically removed, causeing a 19 inch opening down his back and leg. The wound couldn't be closed after the surgery and had to be packed and needed to have debris removed by the doctors constantly.

A couple months after the surgery, while the doctors were cleaning the wound, they found cancerous cells. He, and his boyfriend (fiancé), moved in with us due to housing problems where they were staying. During his time in the house, something caused the wound to become septic. He became unresponsive and was admitted to ICU. We were told he wouldn't make it.

They cured the sepsis and told us that, with treatment, he had an 85% chance of survival from the cancer. Treatment began after the Christmas holidays. A couple weeks after treatment began, he was once again admitted to the hospital.

The treatments weren't working.

I had 6 months to spend with my uncle, but he was staying at his mother's house (he's my non biological uncle but I will be fucking damned if someone tells me he's not family).

February 10th, I was told "I'll take you to see him tomorrow" because he became unresponsive once again and his mother said that if we wanted to see him, do it before the weekend ends. Hospice told us that he wouldn't make it through the week, let alone the weekend.

February 11th, as I wanted to be told "Get ready, we're going to see him in a bit," my mom came into my room crying. She just looked at me. I felt everything crash down for the second time in my life.

I lost another important person in my life to cancer.

Wednesday, I get to see him one last time.

I'll miss you, Scotty. I love you so much.
