JACOB

I just get back from hunting with Leah. She still stays phased and in the woods 'cause she still doesn't like the Cullens. Of course, i still don't like blondie, but the other's aren't so bad.

I grimace. It's hard to believe that i don't think bloodsuckers are that bad. Back in human form, once my shorts are on, I start walking back toward the house. The pull tugs at my heart and I can't wait to see her...Nessie.

I hear commotion going on at the house, which is very unusual. THey should all be doing their own things, everything should be calming down by now. So, what is going on? My heart contracted. All my mind could think about was one thing: Is Reneme okay? I jog the rest of the way back to the house very quickly, as fast as i can go. I barge through and walk in using the back door.

Bella greets me at the door. My heartbeat quickens. "Renesme's fine," she says, turning back around. In a flash she's gone. I follow her trail of stink into the living room. Carlise is leaning over someone on the couch. Whoever it is, is lying down and bleeding. Badly.

Hmm. Well, that explains why the others arent' here. Shouldn't Bella be caref--

"She's like Nessie," Edward blurts, interupting my thoughts. He's busy with Carlise, so Bella starts where he left off.

"We found her in the woods. She's been stabbed, but since She's.....like Renesme--" Bella almost winces at that-- "We're not sure how she was stabbed, well considering she isn't supposed to be able to get hurt," Bella finishes.

"She's starting to heal. The process is going very slowly, but she is healing," Carlise says. He doesn't look up from her. I wonder if Alice could see her future, i think. That's a way to find out exactly how much like Renesme this girl really is.

"That's a good idea," Edward announces.

"What?" Carlise asks.

"I was just thinking that we should see if Alice could see her future. If she's anything like Renesme, then she won't be able to," i explain.

"That's very clever Jaco--"

"I'm needed?" her all-chimes voice asks, interupting the doc.

"Yes, Alice," Bella starts.

"I"m going to look into her future in exactly ten seconds. I can't see how it will turn out, though<" she says with a frown. Edward gets a look like he's suddenly deep in thought. He must be listening to Alice, who also has a far away look. The rest of us wait in suspence for a moment that seems to last a lot longer than any of us want it to. Unable to resist, i cross my arms and sigh loud enough to show my irritation at being left out. "So? Can she see it or not?" I demand.

"Hmm. Interesting," Edward murmurs.

"Well....?!" I demand, even louder.

He doesn't answer. Instead, he furrows his brow and loks at the girl on the couch. I clear my throat as loud as possible. "Hey!! Bloodsucker!"

"So that explains things, then," ALice says.

"And leaves an even bigger mystery to solve," Edward adds.

"Hellooooo...?! I'm with Jake on this one! Sadly to say," she mutters the last part, but everyone hears.

"Siding with the dog? I gotta say, Bells i am surprised," i reply, getting a huge grin on my face.

She looks like she's about ready to take my head off, but says nothing.

"When I saw her, I could only see her past," Alice says. Several people speak at once.

"YOu mean it didn't disappear?" Bella asks.

"Her past! Why?!"

"How did you know it was her past?" Carlise asks, asking the smartest question out of all of us.

"She could tell because of the fashion, the places. It showed a time long before now," Edward explains.

"And I saw her get hurt," Alice adds.

"Did you see who did it?" Bella asks.

"Yes. I could barelys ee his face, but I don't regonize him," she answers.

"I don't either," Edward interjects.

"So how come you can see her past, but you can't see Renesme at all?" I ask.

"Because i'm more human than vampire," a different voice says.

It's the girl. And she's growling at me.
