Prologue.

Never together because they see things in different light.

-Harry's POV-

After a little while I was starting to tire but they were going to come after me like they have been for months before. A burning sensation started to build in my calves and my lungs felt like they were going to rupture.

My pace slowed down for a fraction of a second, but I instantly regretted it seconds later as I heard the all too familiar voices yawp and yell behind me. I hastily gathered myself and sprinted to the alleyway to the left. Big mistake.

My legs carried me quickly, the adrenaline pumping through my blood and the bitter cold night air biting at my face. The alley ended abruptly, a dead end. My legs came to a halt and I spun on my heel, evaluating if there was another possible escape but I was stopped dead in my tracks. My body coming face to face to the stranger, its face too close to mine for comfort.

I cowered away from the figures surrounding me, my back slamming harshly against the wall causing me to wince as I realised by escape was extinguished by now. My mouth became dry, my heart pounding involuntarily in my chest and my heavy breathing being the only noise to be heard as the silhouettes continued to close in.

My eyes frantically scanned the alley, stopping at the rusty door on the opposite wall that was blocked by the dark figures. My head snapped upwards in desperation, if there was an escape I was determined to find it. I wasn't going there, no way.  My eyes locked on an emergency ladder and just as hope was flowing through my body once again, it was halted with a harsh blow to my lower stomach, forcing an agonising groan as I fell to my knees, clutching my stomach.

I stared at the ground, hoping and praying that somehow I could get out of this. A cold metal was pressed against my forehead and I dropped my head, closing my eyes and preparing for the deafening gun shot that was going to end everything.

The wait was excruciating as I calmly came to grips that I was going to die anytime soon. Just one pull of that trigger and my life's ripped away from me in an instant. Everyone I have ever loved, I will never see them again. Never tell them I loved them for the last time. Never being able to apolagise to my mother for being a catalystic disaster of a son.

I have left a trail of mistakes and destruction to many people's lives. Now I was going to pay for it. I always knew it was going to happen, don't get me wrong. But for the first time in my life, I was terrified for it.

The now screaming voices were drowned out as the only thing that clouded my mind was the gun pressing harder into my head. My eyes lifted to stare the stranger in the eyes, if I was about to die. I was going to die dignified, if that was possible,

Please let me know if this is any good.

If you even read this, I love you and I'm very grateful.
