"Well class, we have a new student joining us today. His name is Vernon." And as the teacher said that, Vernon steps into class, his eyes searching for me.
"Hmm.. Could I sit next to Park Jimin?" Vernon asked the teacher. "Hmm? Sure, If Jimin doesn't mind." She says, looking over to me. "H-Huh? Oh.. I don't mind." I said, shrugging it off.
Jackson gathers his things, shifting to the empty seat next to Mark. Vernon smiles as he sits down, waving slightly before facing the front.
"Hi! I'm Jina. Nice to meet you." Jina says as she turns around, offering a hand for Vernon to shake. "Hello." Vernon says, shaking her head lightly with a small smile. "I'm JB."
The introductions went on and on, until class actually began.

"Hey, aren't you going for lunch?" Vernon asks, tapping my shoulder as I lifted my head from my desk.
"Huh? I guess so." I said, shrugging as I stood up. "Well, let's just go grab something light since you don't seem to be hungry." He suggests. "Okay." I said with a sigh, accompanying him.
"Anyway, what happened to you? You seemed fine yesterday." He asks, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Just a little tired." I said, getting a little cautious of what I was doing as I felt a pair of eyes on me.
I looked over to see Mark who was zoning out of the conversation with his friends. "Hey Mark!" Vernon greets, lifting his hand up and waving. "Hey." He says, giving Vernon a small smile.
"How are you liking the neighbourhood so far?" Mark asks, not sparing me a single glance. "It's fine, so far. Jimin and I are neighbours. Have you guys met?"
"No." I said, interrupting whatever he was about to say. "He only knows me through his friends." I explained. Mark gives me a confused glance. "Uhm.. Yeah. She's a close friend of Jackson's." Mark says, giving Vernon a nod.
"Let's go." I said, tugging on Vernon's arm. He nods. "Bye Mark, We'll see you in class."
"So what was that about?" Vernon asks with a chuckle. I furrowed my eyebrows, looking at him. "Oh come on, I'm not that gullible." He says with a chuckle.
I let out a sigh, as I looked away. "Let's just say.. He became friends with me, because of a bet." I said, giving him a small smile.
"Well.. Maybe he had reasons to do that.. Not everything has just one explanation." He says, giving me a reassuring smile.
"Maybe." I said with a shrug. "You just have to look at it from his perspective."
Hmm.. Why did he want to 'protect' me?
"I don't know. Let's just forget this." I said with a sigh as we sat down a bench.
"So does that mean that you like him?" Vernon asks. "It's more of how he made me feel." I said, leaning back.
"So I still have a shot?"
