"The car is ready, ma'am."

"So am I. Please take the suitcases out," Deepika looked around her room making sure she didn't forget any last minute items. Satisfied, she slung her handbag over her shoulder and made her way out to her car. She was nervous and excited to go back home after so long. It's been five years since her first Hollywood movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage, debuted. The movie did quite well for itself and most importantly it gave her a proper exposure which therefore have garnered her lots of attention. Hollywood scripts came running her way after that. And before she knew it, she had become a full-time Hollywood actor; unintentionally leaving her Bollywood career behind. It was never her intention to do so, however, one thing followed the other and five years later, here she was. A resident of Los Angeles, California.

Her original five year plan included marriage and a baby. Currently, she has neither.

Along the way, she lost the man who was probably the love of her life. No one cheated. No one fell out of love. No one got bored. No one screamed. No one hurt or got hurt. If you ask her how did they fall apart, she wouldn't know what to tell you exactly except that distance distanced them. Gradually, the calls became fewer, the texts less frequent, the visits less often, then they just stopped. And each went their own way.

She reached LAX with only an hour to spare before her flight. All the procedures went in a blur and she was now sitting in her first class seat on a plane heading home. She closed her eyes and the memories came rushing back to her.

"Are you nervous?" He smiled squeezing her hand.

She squeezed his hand back and smiled shaking her head, "I'm more excited than nervous," her eyes lit up, "can you believe I'm doing a movie with Woody Allen?! And so soon?!"

"Of course I can!" He chuckled, pinching her dimpled cheek, "I've always known you would," he told her proudly.

He kissed her cheek and turned his attention to the flight attendant trying to decide what to drink. His pride and faith in her made her heart swell with love. "Ranveer," he turned his attention fully to her, "I love you."

His eyes immediately softened, "I love you more," he replied.

She shook her head fidgeting with his fingers, "not possible."

She smiled at the memory. She didn't know what prompted this sudden nostalgia. She could only assume it might be because her visit this time was to attend a wedding. Her best friend's sister's wedding. Weddings were sort of their thing. And, of course, it served as a silent reminder of what could have been.

She wondered how he is now. Did he find someone else? Not that she's been keeping tabs on him or anything, but through the gossip vines, she heard he still isn't married. He dated a few after her but it never got serious. He's been dating the last one for a few months now. Not that she knew but it just got to her attention. She totally didn't go looking for it herself. Believe her!

In a few minutes, she slipped into deep slumber. The rest of the journey was extremely exhausting; until finally, she set foot in her hometown, Bangalore.

She was greeted by her parents and her sister the minute she got out to the arrival terminal. She screamed and ran to hug them one by one with unexpected tears. "I missed you, guys," she sobbed, "I missed you so much."
