I informed Alpha Unit of where we would be going the next day and went to bed.
I had a lot to think about and I felt like if I had to stand in front of one more person and try to cover up my emotions, I would just lose it.
How could I possibly keep my identity a secret from Annabeth? The Olympians would be easy to trick, but Annabeth? She was so smart and she new me so well. At least, she used to. It had been 500 years since I had seen her, what if she had moved on? What if she had forgotten me entirely?
I didn't want to keep my identity from her, but I also did not want to come back here for another five hundred years.
I was torn on the inside. I kept asking myself 'what should I do?' But I already knew the answer. There was only one option. I had to keep this a secret.
I stared into the fire place in my room. The red and yellow flames were dancing around like some sort of Queen or Princess of flames was controlling their every movement. I felt like those flames. I couldn't choose how I wanted to move.
Eventually I fell asleep. Dreading and excitingly anticipating the next day.I was woken by Beta, informing me that Beta Unit would be in charge until we returned from the mission.
Yes, Beta was given a name that was a letter from the Greek alphabet. It was a little joke within the units, every unit had a member with another units name. For example, Beta Unit had a member named Gamma, Gamma Unit had a member named Delta, and so on to Omega Unit who had a member named Alpha.
I felt bad for the Soldier named Pi.
No, Beta did not know that I might not be returning. I hadn't had the chance to tell anyone yet and I figured the less people who knew, the better.
I got up and dressed, putting on the hoodie that Chaos gave me, and strapping my sword to my waist.
I glanced at myself in the mirror. I hadn't aged a bit. I looked a little different because reasons (like it being five hundred years), but there weren't any noticeable permanent changes. I still looked like Percy Jackson.
I pulled the hood over my head and looked again.
I gasped.
I looked deadly.
I couldn't even recognize myself.
It gave me hope. Maybe I could get through the war without Annabeth noticing after all.
I bent down to pick up my backpack and the hood slipped off my head.
I screamed.
I let all of my rage out and punched the mirror.
I took a deep breath.
I put the hood back on.
I teleported to Earth with my Unit.~ I just randomly wanted to tell you that you are beautiful. Please carry on with the story. :) ~
When we arrived on earth I found that we had teleported to an alley in Manhattan.
Although, I could not recognize exactly where we were, I think we were close to the Empire State Building.
Everything had changed! There were people talking on see-through chip phone things.
There were cars and busses that didn't seem to be touching the ground.
Beta, not having been to Earth since the Trojan War, was even more shocked than I was.
He could not take his eyes off of everything and kept repeating himself saying "Wow!".
We walked out of the alley and made our way to the tallest building.
It sort of resembled the Empire State, but it had changed a lot.
Everything had changed.
It all looked more surreal and bubbly.
It was like someone had copied 'Meet The Robinsons' while planning the architecture for the city.
When we got to the building I asked someone if it was the Empire State Building.
She looked at me like I was crazy, and looked me up and down with a disapproving look before saying,
"Yes, it is. Now leave me alone. Pig."
Then she strutted away.
I will admit, we do stick out like the color pink in a prison, but there was no need for that chick to be so rude about it.
There were plenty of weirder things in this city like the guy wearing booty shorts and cowboy boots.
I quickly looked away. Eww gross!
It seemed like everyone in the future was wearing less than normal.
Well, I guess this was normal now. But I still didn't like it.
It wasn't just the lack of clothing, it was also the type of clothing they wore. I saw one women walk by wearing a dress made of meat and another walk by wearing see through big blow up balloons.
She was wearing something underneath, but it was the color of her skin. How would that help?!
Nobody was giving her odd looks, this must be the socially acceptable normal thing to wear.
We walked into the Empire State Building and asked the Elevator Attendant to take us to the 600th floor.
"Sir, you must be mistaken. There are only 103 floors in this building."
"What? Can't you take us to" I lowered my voice "Olympus?"
We ended up being thrown out by security.
Dam.

I had no idea what to do, but Milos suggested I Iris Message the Olympians and see where the entrance was. Sometimes he can be pretty smart. Sometimes.
I created a mist and Iris Messaged my dad, Poseidon.
They were in the middle of a meeting when the message went through, so all of them saw us.
"Who are you?"
My father asked.
"I am Commander Arsenio, Leader of Chaos' Army."
"Chaos? Why would he want anything to do with us?"
Zeus asked.
"There is a war beginning and Chaos sent his most powerful unit, Alpha, to delay and stop it."
"Okay. But why are you Iris Messaging us?"
I glanced down a little embarrassed.
"Um, we can't find the entrance to Olympus."
They laughed.
"The entrance is still in New York, but we moved it to the Chrysler Building because the Empire State became too well known by the monsters."
"Okay, thank you. We will be there in a few minutes."
~*~
Before we went into the throne room on Olympus, I pulled aside my Unit and talked to them.
"Beta, nobody really remembers you so can reveal your identity if you want to. Milos, Obsidian, you two can reveal your identities as well if you choose. But I cannot."
"Why can't you, Perce?"
Obsidian asked.
"It doesn't matter. But I can't reveal my identity so don't accidentally let it slip or anything. Okay?"
They all gave me their affirmative and we stepped into the throne room.
Zeus and the other Olympians were seated on their thrones and when we entered they turned to us.
"Ah, Commander Arsenio. I see you have made it." Zeus said, with a joking tone in his voice.
"Yes I have. Lord Zeus, this is my unit. Beta, Obsidian, and Milos."
"Where will you stay while you are here?"
"We plan to stay at Camp Half-Blood."
"Okay, you may leave now. Us gods and goddesses have important stuff to talk about."
Although I doubted that was true, we left.
As we were leaving Olympus I took the time to admire the fantastic architecture. I had a hunch that Annabeth had done this.
As we were passing a huge fountain I stopped in shock.
There was a statue of me right in the middle, with water flowing out of my hands as if I were controlling the water.
I walked closer and saw a plaque that said "Perseus Jackson, savior of Olympus, Son of Poseidon. He will never be forgotten."
I was incapacitated by surprise.
I can't believe they all cared about me that much! They put a statue of me in the middle of Olympus!
"That is a really cool statue."
Milos said.
He always had a thing for statues and the game Mythomagic.
~*~
When we arrived at Camp Half-Blood, the other campers stared at us in awe and shock.
We all still had our hoods on and I must admit, we did not look like people you would want to mess with.
Chiron came out of the big house to greet us, after a camper ran to get him.
"Hello, who are you?"
I seemed to be getting that question asked a lot today.
"My name is Commander Arsenio of Alpha Unit, these are my unit-mates, Beta, Milos, and Obsidian. We are part of Chaos's army and have come to help stop a war."
Chiron never showed emotion much, but in that moment I saw the surprise and worry in his eyes.
"What war? There is no war. There hasn't been a war for five hundred years."
"It hasn't started yet."
"Ah, if you say so. Annabeth," he nodded to the girl who had walked up beside him "could you please lead them on a tour of the camp?"
"Sure, Chiron."
She said.
I met her eyes and for that moment all of the angst and stress left me. She still looked as pretty as ever and just as smart and sarcastic. I wanted to just hug her so much. But I couldn't. She would figure it out if I did.
I looked her up and down and noticed the ring on her hand.
I smiled, it was the one I had given her.
She had never taken it off.
She caught me staring and gave me a hard glare.
Or maybe she was just trying to see through the shadows that covered my face because of the hoodie.
"Well," she said "are we going or are we just going to stand here acting like idiots all day?"
I glanced at Obsidian and Milos. They understood how I was feeling.
I turned to Annabeth and said "We aren't acting."
That probably was not the right thing to say, she laughed.
That was supposed to be a good comeback!
Those Hermes kids are liars.~PJO~
So....
This chapter took me longer than normal and I really wish I could have made it longer. Please give me constructive criticism and thank you for reviewing if you have read and reviewed the previous chapters! :)
I feel like I am not purposely dumbing down the characters. I think they are very Mary-Sue-ish.
What do you think? Be honest!
Also: I know some of you are very lazy so I have created a system.
All it requires is pressing one letter, and the send button!
Review and tell me what you think.A = Amazing.
G = Good, but could use improvement.
H = Horrible.
C = Could have had better grammar and spelling.
L = Lots of character improvement is needed.
Or you could just type them all and spell CHAGL
I don't think that is a word...
