The kid ran off and I quickly woke up the other three and we changed into our battle helmets.
There is no way I was going to fight in that hoodie.
It would fall off before I killed the first monster.
We ran outside and right as we stepped out the door a monster attacked us.
It was like the monster had been waiting outside our door for us.
It was a Cyclops.
I hesitated. I didn't want to kill a Cyclops. My brother was a Cyclops!
I wonder if he is still alive. Probably not.
I was slammed back to reality when the Cyclops got tired of staring at us, picked us up, and threw us into a nearby tree.
Gods I forgot how much that hurt.
I made sure the others were all right and then charged the monster.
I killed it within seconds.
You would think that would be a good thing.
Nope.
Now all of the other monsters, that had somehow invaded camp despite the barrier, had noticed me now.
They stopped caring about the other campers and focused on me.
All of them started running towards me at once.
I screamed and ran into my cabin.
What? Stop thinking that! I am not a coward!
I just forgot my sword.
I came back out with my sword and started hacking and hitting the monsters.
Minotaur impaled.
Empousai drowned.
Cyclops shattered.
While I was fighting a Hydra, another monster somehow snuck up behind me and knocked my sword out of my hand.
I slapped it.
I could see the shock and surprise in the monsters eyes, just before the sword returned to my hand and I sliced it to pieces.
Obsidian helped me kill the Hydra with his hidden flame ability. He had never told anyone but me about it.
I sometimes blackmailed him into helping me bake blue cookies with his heat.We were winning the fight, but there were still a lot of monsters and I had no idea where they were coming from!
It was like someone had opened a portal for the monsters to come right to camp.
They seemed to be appearing out of thin air.
I heard a cry of pain from my left.
I looked over and saw Beta pinned to a tree with a Minotaur horn in his chest.
"No!"
I yelled.
I ran over to him. How could Beta have lost to a Minotaur?!
My question was answered when I saw the little girl cowering beside him in fear.
He must have tried to save the girl.
I quickly killed the Minotaur and un-impaled Beta.
I put pressure on his wound.
"A-Arsenio, stop."
"What? No. You'll be okay, Beta."
"No I won't. Quit lying." He coughed and blood spilled out of his mouth "Go, save the others."
He nodded his head towards where Annabeth, Obsidian, and Milos were fighting an entire group of monsters.
"Beta I am not going to leave you. You are going to be okay. You have to be okay."
Tears threatened to spill down my face.
"T-that girl, Annabeth. I know you like her-r. Don't let her get away."
His eyes closed and he slumped down.
"No! Beta, come on wake up!"
I checked for a pulse.
There was none.I picked up my sword in rage and brought all of Chaos' given power to play.
The monsters didn't stand a chance. I ran through them and as soon as my sword touched them, they dissipated on the spot.
A few minutes later I was standing in a ash covered battleground. Every monster in sight had been killed and I now stood in the midst of their remains.
They wouldn't ever come back, I didn't know how I had done it, but I was sure that I had just sent them all to the Void.
I fell to my knees and cried.
The rest of the campers left me alone, and helped the wounded campers to the infirmary tent.
After a while, I am not sure how long it was, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
It was Annabeth.
"Arsenio..." she said with worry in her voice, "I- I'm sorry."
If anyone else had said anything I would have hit them, but this was Annabeth.
She helped me to my cabin and left.
I took a shower and fell asleep.
Summoning Chaos power for the first time ever drained a lot of energy, and I was emotionally spent as well.
At some point in the night I heard Milos and Obsidian come in, but they didn't say anything.~PJO~
I'm crying right now.
It is so sad how easy it was to write this chapter!
I feel really crazy and psychotic right now.
I'm not even sure of my own powers. Who knows who I could decide to kill next!
Just kidding! Or am I...
