The Woods

~Celesana's POV~

      I ran as fast as I could trying to get away from the black object that kept growing as it got closer to me. My lungs felt tight and cold as I ran through the forest on this snowy night. He somehow knew about my bloodlines. The one that became outlawed years ago and the ones of us that are left are all in hiding. He kept getting closer to me, I ran faster and farther going deeper into the woods. "I know where you are youngling. Can't run from me, your scent of magic is strong." the Hunter said. I take a sharp turn trying to lose him.

      I turn my head to see if I lost him, he had ran a little farther the way until he had noticed that he was no longer trailing me. I ran a ways and I made it to the creek. I remembered my mother telling me to cover in mud to rid of my scent. Quickly I jump into the creek and cover in mud in hope to lose the hunter.

      Slowly, I climb out of the creek and take careful footing not to attract attention to the Hunter. I make it as far as the old Hickory tree before he caught a glimpse of my bright silver hair. He stands and faces me, I catch a glimpse of him before I stop dead from the sight. The Hunter who I feared was the king's royal guard. 

     I tried to run but my body just stood there froze, I have not seen him since the King had taken over Perisan. "Long time no see, Princess." he said in a deep husky voice. I have never seen what he actually looked like under his dark velvety hood. I bet he looked hideous. "Ever since your damned king took over my land, I had no intentions of wanting to see you alive." He stood there and laughed. "Well child, now it is time for your bloodline to end here and now. Unless, you would like to hear my proposition." the Hunter stared at me. "Now what would you proposition be?" 

     "The king would like to hire you as his personal assassin. You can be released within a 9 year period. You will be killing whoever he assigns you too and you will also be payed. If you accept we will need to travel to Tantion in order for you to accept the offer." He stated. I stood there for a second thinking about the offer. If I accept the offer I can get closer to the king and I may be able to assassinate him making me able to retake my kingdom. By doing so we can overthrow his throne and take over this land making the people and all clean magic free again. "I accept the offer that the King has extended to me." He looks at me surprised, "Well that was easier than I thought. We head to Tantion at first light of day."
