"THREE, TWO, OOONE! WE'VE GRADUATED BITCHES!" we all yelled throwing our caps into the air doing the famous high school musical jump. My friends were all around me laughing with tears of joy in their eyes.
"We made it guys! We actually made it!" I yelled to no-one in particular but all 11 of my friends heard it.
They turned around and we looked at each other for a second before charging to each other form a tight circle, with our arms on the shoulders of the person next to us. Tears prickled my eye as I looked around at the 11 people standing in my circle of love.
We each had a best friend that we've been close to since kinder garden but as soon as high school hit we somehow formed this badass friendship group of 12. I guess some things are really destined.
We dominated high school and were probably considered the populars but we made sure that we weren't your typical assholes in a popular group. We were friends with everyone, kind to everyone who were kind back (there were the unavoidable bitches that we had to put down), we made sure none of us were douches or bimbos, though a couple of the guys grew to become players and a few girls like the easy life though they don't act like a bitch like your average player or 'slut', though I would never call these girls sluts. Most of us tried not to lack with studies, but there are the odd three; not trying to be specific or anything, three just popped into my mind.
All the while we were a bunch of crazy ass maniacs who loved to be stupid, play games and party. But now all of that was at an end and we were going separate ways, not one of us chose to go to the same university or college as another in the group and it was sad but we made a vow to come back to the famous New York City, our home town and meet up for every single extended break.
We were going to spend the next two months together during summer, before splitting up to go our own ways and I was going to make full damn use of this time together.
Oh, let me introduce you to my friends, as you know I'm Scarlette White. Going round the circle we have Lea Monroy, Cory Abernathy, Ian Cooper, Kylie Huntington, Jasmine Wallflower (don't even ask), Katie Price (Ha! I'm kidding, it's Katie McCoy), Tara Shaw, Justin Craig (is it just me who think this name is oddly awesome, like the new James Bond name or something), Daniel Kilmer, Matt Damon (I wish! It's actually Matt Monfrere) and last but not least Tyler Tuffnut (but we call him Tuffnut, I mean, c'mon, how can you not?!) So yeah, didn't I say we were a damn big group?
I looked around the group and grinned. "WHO'S READY FOR DAT LIFE?!" I shouted in my deep voice doing a fist pump and got a chorus of replies in return from my close friends and the people around me. If you're wander what 'dat life' is... well, simply put: college, work, party, sex, adulthood.
Yuuup. Dat life is gonna begin starting now. And my friends and I are all about dat life.
We passed a few jokes and words around the circle as we recalled memories and thought about how we got here. Our inside jokes, what journey awaits for us and finally we re-re-promised our vows to meet whenever we can. We were a tight bunch and in our hearts we believed it was going to be A HELL of a lot harder to find another group like us, virtually impossible and none of us wanted this perfectness of our friendship to end, and we still hadn't come to terms with it as we had two more months together.
Finally, we gave each other individual hugs and started to break away, as our families came to us. We would see each other as the HUGE party I'm hosting later on anyway.
My mum and dad walked towards me with proud glowing smiles on their faces. I should have mentioned that I got into Harvard and I'm so grateful and proud of myself for achiving that. I was squished into a massive hug as my mum kept whispering how proud of me she was as she held tears in her eyes and how she can't wait to see me at Harvard. My dad on the other hand... thinks I'm his son. No. Seriously.
