Lavender’s blue dilly dilly Lavender’s green. When I am king dilly dilly you'll be my queen. Raven hummed as she sewed her mother's old purple dress. “ Tonight's the night gus gus." She mutters to her fat little mouse friend. She holds the dress up and smiles proudly. “ What do you think gus gus?" She monotones, with a hint of hope. “ Perfect." Gus squeaks. She giggles and rushes to put the outfit on.

Time skip:

“ My daughters." The low, almost growl like, voice of Trigon rings through the hall. “ Father." His oldest, Jadis, bows. “ Hello father." His youngest, Lia, bows. “ It is time to go." Trigon says. “ Oh please wait for me." Raven's voice rings through the hall. Trigon looks towards the steps. “ Raven." He growls. Raven walks down the stairs, dressed in the gown. “ It costs you nothing Trigon. It was my mother's old dress." Raven says, twirling. It was almost as if she could feel her mother inside the dress. “ After all I've done. Fed you, dressed you. And you expect to go to the ball, dressed in rags like that?" He glares. “ R-rags? This was my mother's." Raven says. “ Well I'm sorry to say that your mother's taste in clothes were very old fashioned." Trigon summons his claws, ripping the skirt of the dress. Raven gasps. Deciding they wanted to join, her stepsisters summoned their claws and tore the dress. They cackle while she cried. " How could you?" Raven says. “ How could I not have. Now mark my words. You. Shall not. Go. To. The. Ball." Trigon and his daughters leave Raven to clean up the mess of fabric that once was her beautiful dress. She cleans up and runs to the garden, collapsing in a puddle of tears.
