A Letter To My Father, A Letter To My Daughter

(Chapter 12 is a letter from Lucy to her father and a letter from Jude to Lucy. This chapter is a transition chapter, that's why it is a short chapter.)

Dear Father,

We did it! Our battle with Grimoire Heart was a success. I managed to take down Sting by myself. Natsu and I then went to fight Hades. Not going to lie, but it was a tough battle. After much back and forth Natsu was knocked out. I came close to it, but don't worry I managed to use dragon force and delivered an amazing attack on him. The attack sent him flying through a column and a wall. While Wendy was healing me another member, Mest, found Hades and placed magic canceling cuffs on him. Master Makarov then took Hades to the magic council for them to sentence him.

When we had gotten back to the guild Levy clued us in on what happened there. Only a couple of Grimoire's members made it to Fairy Tail. Levy and Freed were able to hold up the runes while Max and Reedus took out the members. It was funny. Gajeel was super worried about Levy when she was explaining how the members showed up. He calmed down though when she said Max and Reedus fought. Oh, and Gray was worried too. Juvia and him got split up when Gray came with Natsu, Wendy, Erza and I. He was so relieved when they met up outside Grimoire's guild and she explained how she took down many of the members.

During the fight Erza, Wendy, Mest and Gray had to take down some of Hades' strongest mages.

Wendy and Mest dealt with Bluenote. They said it was a tough battle, but between Mest using his teleporting magic and Wendy's slayer, magic they were able to take him down.

Erza fought with Azuma. Erza said she couldn't believe some who used a plant type magic could be so strong. She said it was her strong belief in Fairy Tail and her Fairy Tail family that helped her defeat him.

Gray battled Ultear, but his battle was more personal than the others. Ultear was the daughter of Gray's previous master, Ur. It was because of Ur that Gray learned his ice make magic. Gray defeated Ultear, but in a different way. He told her that her mother was told Ultear was dead. That Ur spent every day missing her daughter. Ultear believed that her mother had just abandoned her when really she tried so hard to get her daughter back. It truly was a marvelous change of heart. Everyone was taken into custody, but no one could Ultear. I have a feeling Gray knows what happened to her, but it's not my place to pry.

Winter break has ended and school started again. Everyone at school heard about the battle. The first week back was crazy. Everyone wanted to know details of what happened. Just like with Natsu and Gajeel I'm keeping my slayer magic a secret. I told everyone that celestial spirits have a second level of power that makes them stronger. Principal Ranma was even impressed with us. I am excited this is the last semester. I told Natsu he has to focus this semester or he won't be able to go on any missions this summer. He protested at first, but agreed. I told him I'd help him out too with studying and such. My semester won't be too bad. I have advanced combat with celestial spirits, modern guilds, senior English and opportunities after graduation. Natsu and I have the last class together. Levy and Gajeel are doing great and so are Gray and Juvia.

I am so happy things are peaceful again. I should probably start to wrap this up. I promise once graduation is over I'll come back home and visit for a little bit. I miss you and also the maids too. It's been so long since I've seen them. I'll send you a letter before graduation to let you know when I'll be on my way. Say hello to everyone for me!

Dear Lucy,

I am so glad and relieved to hear everyone is alright. I am so proud of how strong you have become. That guild master, Makarov, really has opened my eyes to guilds. I am even in the process of expanding my business to service more guilds. Of course, I will be doing extensive background searches on them first to not have another incident. So far I am in the works of contracting with Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel. Their masters are very excited about the new partnership. Maybe I could even get Master Makarov has a partner. I would love to see him again sometime soon. Not just for business reasons, but also because he really is a great guy.

Those classes seem like a great way to end the year. I know I was opposed to you going to this school at first, but you really have done a great job. I am very proud of how well you have done. I had a talk with that pink haired boy. I can tell he is going to take very good care of you. And yes, I do know. Your eyes always had a way of telling me the truth. I approve of him.

I am excited to hear how this semester will go for you. Please let me know when your graduation is. I wouldn't want to miss that for the world. I know in the past I would've brushed it off because of work, but things will be different now. I now know that what brings happiness is being with those you love and care for, not belongings and money. I think your mother would be cursing me out right now for how I thought you would be happy.
