I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. Time for school, god damn it. I hate high school, it's a hell hole for teens.
"Katy! Get up or your gonna be late! Bela's already here!" I hear my mom yell from the kitchen.
"Calm down! I'm up!" She is always on my ass for everything. I get out of my bed and decide to go with my Batman sweater, black leggings, and black ankle Converse.
As I run down the stairs to the kitchen. my best friends Bela is sitting with my brother eating Lucky Charms. " You're seriously wearing that?" my brother says
"Shut the fuck up Mayson." I bark at him. He rolls his eyes and puts his hands up to surrender before I beat his ass.
"So.............. you excited for our first day as seniors?!" Bela asks clapping her hand in excitement.
"Yes,no, I don't know really. I mean I finally get to get out of high school but then everybody is gonna be split up! Like, for example, your going to Hartford with Ranel to be lawyers or something like that. Then I'm gonna be in Florida alone." I say stating my point.
" True chiz. Maybe Caleb will be there or Emily." Bela says with a huge smirk on her face.
" One, eww I haven't liked Caleb since I was a freshman. Fuck no! Two, Emily is going to NYU." yuck, even saying his name makes me wanna vomit.
" Oh my god, we're gonna be late if we don't go now." Bela hops out of the chair with a piece of toast in her mouth.
" Thanks for the breakfast mom!" I yell as I grab my bag.
" Don't forget, you have cheer at 6 today!" she says as I run out the door.
"Of course you have cheer today." Bela says sarcastically. She opens the door to her silver Ford F150. I see a picture if her and her boyfriend Adam on the dashboard as I hop in the truck.
"Ahh, you and Adam!" I squeal as I grab the picture off of her dashboard.
" Shut up! He's all mine and he's gorgeous!" she kisses the picture of Adam and I feel like I'm on the verge of barfing up Lucky Charms.
As we arrive to school, we come two minutes before the bell rings. Freshman are freaking out and running to all of their classes, one of them is my brother.
" Mayson don't freak, you'll be fine! Everybody loves freshman know-it-alls." I say while giving him a good noogie. As Bela and I are walking to our first period class, I feel someone tap my shoulder.
" Hey Jovani." I say while looking at the opposite shoulder that got tapped on.
" How'd you know it was me?" he asks
" You've been doing that since the 6th grade. I think it's getting kinda old." I laugh when Bela joins me.
" Fine, I'll figure out something else." he says and then runs up to his slut of a girlfriend Selena.
"Slut alert." Bela says in my ear so only I can hear her.
" I know right!" I say and we both start cracking up as we walk into the classroom. Now everyone is looking at us as if we're total weirdos. What a great way to start senior year.
