Notice His Smile (KageHina)

Chapter 4

Hinata's POV

     I started crying. I told myself I wouldn't cry but when he touched my arm I couldn't help it. I tried to be quite but he obviously heard me because he stopped shouting at me.

     "Hey" Kageyama lowered his voice "What's wrong?" His voice is so sweet. I love the sound of his voice. Unlike my voice, his is deep and when he talks to me like that, I start to melt.

     "N-nothing" ,I tryed not to stutter but that didn't work out very well. I could tell he saw right through me. All of a sudden he.....hugged me.

     He was taller than me so my head was in his chest. I tried to get away, but after the day, I didn't have enough energy so I just stayed there. In his arms. Where for the first time in weeks, I felt safe.

     I'm glad no one was left in the gym because I couldn't stop crying. And I couldn't move away from Kageyama. I had been arguing with myself about how I felt about my teammate, but now, I know how I feel about him. I like him. I really like him.

     I have stopped crying now but Kageyama is still holding me. I try to focus on him. I never noticed how strong he was. Or how good he smelled after practice. He didn't smell like sweat, but like cologne. Not enough to be noticed from far away, but enough to be noticed by me.

     The more we stayed there the more I wanted to be there, wrapped in Kageyama's arms. But it ended when Kageyama said something.

     "Hey, Hinata? Are you okay?" The way he said my name made something inside me clicked.

     "Yeah. I guess I am now. Thank you, Kageyama" I say and give him the biggest, real smile I could muster up. I really like Kageyama. But I doubt he likes me back.

     Thoughts of Kageyama fill my head as I ride home on my bike. The last thing I thought about before I fell asleep was Kageyama. And for the first time in weeks, I have a dream, and not a nightmare.
