Past Times

"Tell them Sam"

"You might want to sit down"

I sat on the edge of the bed and Tae say next to me. Liv sat on the other bed and Kookie set next to her.

"I honestly don't know where to begin. There is so much he did to you, Liv." Tears threatened to escape my eyes.

"The beginning, I want them to know. No secrets, no questions unanswered." She looked serious.

"I can't do it..."

"If you don't, no one will, Sam. You know I can't talk about these things. It makes me hurt more..." she said while a tear was making its way down her cheek.

"I'll- I'll try..."

*Flasback: authors pov*

"Liv! Liv this is the friend I was telling you about!  He's my boyfriend's friend. That's how we met."

"Oh, hi. Nice to meet you! I'm Liv," she said sticking her hand out to greet the unknown man.

"Hello, I'm Axel."

"Soooooo..." Sam said drawing the attention of the two. "I gotta be somewhere in like ten minutes. I'll see you guys later!" And she left, just like that...

A few hours later and they were caring on a conversation like it was a breeze.

"So you're training to be an actress?"

"Yeah, Sam and I have wanted this since we were little."

"That's really cool, I used to act a little too. Not to brag or anything, but I was the lead in four school plays."

"You're totally bragging..." she said giving a small laugh. "But I was the lead in nine. And yes, I'm trying to brag."

They talked for what seemed like hours. Until the sun went down. They hit it off and started dating from then on.

But at one point, he got so angry he snapped. Beating her until she was a bloody mess

"I told you! No one can have you but me! Why are you cheating? HUH?! WHY?!" He said slapping her again. The 7th time. Liv was counting.

"I didn't!" She yelled at him, still not afraid. If he was going to kill her, he would be done it already. "He's my best friends brother! He came by to drop off some things I left at her house!"

"WHAT KIND OF IDIOT DO YOU THINK I AM?!" He said slapping her again until she fell to the ground. Then he started to kick her.
Until she couldn't bear it and started to cough up blood.

"I- I told you! I'm not a cheater!" She said using all her strength to say those few words. He just kept kicking and hitting her in anger.

Small things lead up to this but they happened little by little so she didn't notice until he was at the end of the rope. His sanity hanging on by a thread. And she witnessed the last string snap. Unlucky for her. She was in the line of fire. And got all the anger and rage taken out on her.

He kept beating her... and she kept doing nothing about it. One day Sam saw the bruises and cuts.

"What are those? Liv... how did you get them?!"
