Chapter 7

( Ellie's Thanksgiving Outfit, in media^ )

Ellie's POV
I knock  on Gabe's door. There are a lot of cars in the driveway. I have to say I'm super nervous just cause we are fake dating.

Gabe answers the door.

" Ellie.. WOAH!" His mouth comes open.
" What? is there something on my face?
" nothin but beauty." He smirks  with a wink
" shut up." I playfully hit him.

" what just stating the truth." He laughs " so you ready for this?" 
" what?"
" to be my "girlfriend" duh." He puts quotations around girlfriend
" oh right. Yes I'm ready!"

He smiles and says
" well come on in then." And I step in.
" MOM ELLIE IS HERE!" Gabe yells

" sorry she's making food still. Dinner isn't until like a hour from now."
" that's okay. Now you gonna introduce me to your family I've never met or what?"

Gabe laughs.
" of course right this way my lady." He grabs my hand and leads me to their back porch which is stunning. It's one of my favorite places at Gabe's.

It a light wooded deck, with chairs and other deck wear. Has the most beautiful backyard with lots of room-they mostly play football- a huge tree with lots of shade, a great view for the sunset-yeah it's probably my favorite place- and a white fence surrounding it.

" Hey everyone!! I'd like you to meet my girlfriend Ellie!"

Everyone turns and looks at me. And before I know it people started hugging me and greeting me.

" sorry they're huggers." He shrugs
" that's okay."
" so.. that's Aunt Rebecca Uncle Phil,Grandpa Earl, Grandma Denise..."

He went on for what seemed like forever.
" you know I won't remember them right?"
" yeah but at least you've heard of them right?" 
" yeah I guess."

" by the way.." he rubs the back of his neck with his hand " I know we are best friends and all and it's probably a rule or something not to say this but..." he inhales a breath " you look Hot!"

I started blushing so hard. My face was red as a tomato. I had to say that caught me off guard a little, but I regained my composer.

" thanks." I smile " you don't look to bad yourself Mr. Knight."

Gabe wore slacks, dress shoes, and a white buttoned up shirt, which was rolled to his elbows. If anyone was hot here, it was definitely him.

Ellie.. what are you saying. He is your best friend. And you have a thing for Ethan. Now get yourself together.

" anytime." And he winked.

"DINNER IS READY!" I hear Mrs Knight yelled for the kitchen.

All at once, a herd of people started to flood toward the dining room. I thought I was about to be trampled until Gabe pulled me out.

We all sit at this huge table, that I hadn't noticed before. Everyone got into it. I sat between Gabe and his cousin. We shared grace and dug in.

After we were done, we all went back onto the porch to see a white sheet and a projector for a movie, for when it gets pitch black. But first I was helping Mrs Knight clean the table.

I kept looking at Gabe sitting on the couch with his grandpa. He was smiling big. It's probably the most I've seen him happy. I smile to myself just looking at him.
