Ellie's POV
" this is why I decided to draw Josh." John finished

Gabe's finally back at school.

We were in art class and everyone was talking about why they drew there painting of their partner. I haven't shown Gabe my painting yet and I hope he doesn't get mad.

He hasn't shown me his either and to be honest I'm kinda scared. It was Macy's turn. When she held it up everyone gasped. It was beautiful. I never knew she could draw like that.

" I drew my painting of Alison putting makeup on. I drew her this way because, she only focuses on the way she looks. Everyone only looks at her that way because she only shows that side of her. She never shows the real beauty inside her. She is afraid of what people might think. So she ' disguises ' herself, and hides behind her makeup. That is why I drew this painting."

Everyone clapped it was a great presentation.
Alison and Macy sat in front of me.
" I never knew you felt that way about me."  Alison said

" well it's the truth." Macy bluntly says

" Miss Banks. You're up."
Alison gets up.

" I drew this painting of Macy because..."

The painting wasn't even of Macy, it was just her lips. Not even her face.

" because she has a loud mouth.. Not in a rude way. Just she says what's on her mind, it's always the truth not matter how it hurts you. I know my presentation wasn't as long as Macy's nor as good but that's how I feel. Man I feel like I'm in counseling." She laughs, so does everyone else.

" that was great you two. Very nice drawings the best I've seen yet. No-a-fence class. Okay Gabe or Ellie which do you wanna go first?"

" Ellie would." Gabe volunteered me
" wha-"
" okay Miss King show me what ya got."
I walked up super nervous.

I hold it up, everyone claps instantly.
" that's amazing"
" how can you draw that."
" why does he look depressed"

" class settle down."

" thank you everyone . And he looks depressed because I feel that Gabe isn't happy with his life. He isn't happy how everything turn out. He won't talk about it with anyone, not even me. I think he hates being the player, but that's what everyone expects him to be so he is. I think he is in love with someone but won't tell me who. I feel that he wants to pursue a career his parents nor anyone else wants him to do. But I'd support him. I feel maybe he is disappointed with himself, I don't know why but maybe he hasn't shown it yet. And will show or tell what has made him feel this way, once he is ready. Thank you everyone for loving my painting, but that's it." I smile,
everyone claps.

" Mr. Knight your last but certainly not least." Mrs Green smiles

Gabe walks up, I'm anxious to see what he has made. Not only of what he drew about me, but this is the first time he is showing his art work in front of people. As he holds it up, everyone claps and cheers.

" how'd you paint that"
" I thought it wasn't going to better than Ellie's but heck it's 1000x better."

Okay that hurt.

" Marry me Gabe."

What'd she just say?

" thank you everybody but let me get this over with." Gabe smiles " I drew Ellie King, my best friend since kindergarten. But I feel there is more than what meets the eye, I feel as though she doesn't tell me everything. I drew Ellie crying because I know she gets bullied."

Everyone gasps.

Why gasp? Like y'all are the ones that do the bullying. Don't act all surprised!

" I feel as though, she doesn't get the respect she deserves. As though she is in love with someone she claimed to be in love with but not.  Maybe it's because of the bullying, maybe a romantic novel she's crying at, or a movie. Or maybe she is crying because she is afraid to be herself because if she were herself she'd get bullied a lot more. She is crying cause she's insecure, and she doesn't want to let anyone see her cry so she keeps everything bottled up inside herself. I feel as though maybe, she is crying because I made her cry. Because I know I'll just break her heart, because I'm an awful person towards her. Because I embarrass her all the time.  Cause I share every secret she's ever told me to Alison. And that's the reason Alison bully's her too because I told her to."

Everyone gasps again

He tells Alison everything? Like there best friends? He betrayed me. He used me. I don't even wants to see his face. Not talk to him. Because Alison bully's me because of him!!

Am I over exaggerating?

" THATS ENOUGH!" Mrs Green  says.
" thank you for your presentation. Sit down."

My hands were shaking. I couldn't say anything. A tear slipped out. I finally knew a part of why Alison made me miserable for all these years.

" Ellie I can-" he put his hand on my arm
" don't touch me."
" Ellie."
" shut up. Don't talk to me, look at me, come into my presents, and don't ever even think about me ever again." Tears fell

" Ellie."
" Gosh Dang it Gabe! Don't you understand I don't want you in my life anymore. I don't want someone who as made my life hell, then be superman as though nothing happened. You did this. You put this on yourself. Now leave me be. Go sit with your side b-"

" That is no way to talk miss King. I'm sorry for what has happened in my class, but that is no right for you to cuss in my class. Dentition after school."

" Mrs Green!!"
" wanna make that 2 days."
"  no ma'am."

come on." Macy says
She grabs my wrist, and pulls me away.

" what?" I say
" I'm taking you shopping. I'm tired of see those god awful clothes!"
" I happen-"
" yeah like your clothes but this time we are giving you a make over, and soon everyone will know you as Ellie King, not Ellie king side bitch of Gabe."
" no one calls me that!!"
" that's what you you think."

Oh my goodness do people really call me that? I hope not. How could they think that. Do I even look like one.. uhh no.

" okay fine."
" really just like that?" 
" ha Gabe did the same thing this morning. And yeah I don't wanna be know as Gabe's side b.!!!"
"awesome let's gooooo."

We get in her black Kia, and head toward the mall. This tomorrow is going to be different for everyone...
