Chapter 35 The Mix-Up

Alex ran to his house.
"KYLIEIGOTINADUELWITHBURR,"Alex yelled out of breathe.
Kylie chuckled.
"Say that again when you're not outta breathe,"Kylie chuckled.
Alex caught his and walked over to Kylie and put his on kylie arms.
"Kylie Im in a duel with Burr,"Alex said slowly.
"No you can't Alexander please dont leave like Philip,"Kylie began to cry.
"I'll be back the duel is tomorrow at dawn. Guns . drawn.,"Alex told her.
"W-where at,"Kylie questioned him.
"Weehawken,"Alex answered.
"Alex please dont go you're going to get shot,"Kylie told him.
"No I wont trust me,"Alex said.
He walked away and went into his office and began to write.
"I will stop this duel one way or another,"Kylie said to herself...
         ~~~4 hours later~~~
"Alexander come back to sleep. It's still dark outside,"Kylie begged.
"I know. I just need to write something down.,"Alex told her.
"Why do you write like you're running out of time,"Kylie questioned him.
Alex shushed her.
"Come back to bed to bed. That would be enough.,"Kylie begged.
"I'll be back before you know I'm gone,"Alex said.
"Come back to sleep,"Kylie kept begging.
"This meeting's at dawn,"Alex said.
"Well, I'm going back to sleep,"Kylie said beginning to walk away.
Alex grabbed her hand and kissed.
"Hey. Best of wives and best of women,"Alex said.
Kylie smiled.
      ~~~~6 hours later~~~~
                 Number 1
"We rowed across the Hudson at dawn. My friend William P. Van Ness signed on,"Burr said.
             
                   Number 2
"Hamilton arrived with his crew: Nathaniel Pendleton and a doctor that he knew,"Burr said.
    
                  Number 3
"I watched Hamilton examine the terrain. I wish I could tell you what was happening in his brain. The man has poisoned my political pursuits.,"Burr said.

                  Number 4
"Hamilton drew first position. Looking, to the world, like a man on a mission. This is a solider with a marksman's ability. The doctor turned around so he could have deniability,"Burr said.

                Number 5
"Now I didn't know this at the time but we were-...Near the same spot your (my son) died, is that why,"Burr and Alex said.
 
                 Number 6
"He examined hia gun with such rigor? I watched as he methodically fiddled with the trigger," Burr said.

                   Number 7
"Confession time? Here's what I got. My fellow soliders'll tell you I'm a terrible shot,"Burr confessed.
  
                 Number 8
"Your last chance to negotiate. Send in your seconds see if they can set the record straight,"Burr, Hamilton and the men said.
       
                  Number 9
"Look him in the eye, aim no higher. Summon all the courage you require. Then count: 
 
"One two three four five six seven eight nine. NUMBER TEN PACES FIRE-,"the people shouted.

Burr shot at Hamilton...but before you knew Kylie got in between them...Burr shot Kylie right in the adobmen....everything went black.
"KYLIE NOOOOOO,"Alex shouted....
