There was something not quite right about this window.

As I had been staring out of it for 10 minutes, it was quite distressing to be told that it 'wasn't actually a window' it was some strange contraption called a 'Television'.

"Ahh, so you're finally awake." Simon walked into the room.

I nodded. "Have the maids been around?" He asked me, sitting opposite me on an armchair.

"No, Sir." I replied. "Oh wait! I meant to say Simon not sir." I frowned at myself.

He looked at me oddly. "It's okay, Aliza."

I looked back at the television.

What I was watching seem to be a Therapy TV Drama type show.

There were four screaming women and a small man trying to handle their problems.

"You're watching Jeremy Kyle?" Simon inquired with a twist of his eyebrow. I blinked at him, before glancing at the TV and Checking the name of the show.

"Uh, I guess so. Am I not allowed?" I asked him worriedly.

"No no, you are, its just a very popular show here in the UK. It's the worst of daytime TV."

"What's 'daytime TV'?" I asked him.

"TV that plays during the day; it has a special name because only people that don't work during the day watch it." He answered smiling at me.

"People usually work during the day?" I asked curiously.

"We;; no, not really nowadays. Twenty years ago when humans were in power everyone worked during the day." I Nodded.

"Isn't that strange?" I asked him. "But isn't it hot outside during the day time?"

"We;;, yes, I suppose in some areas. Not here in England. Its usually raining here during day time; and nighttime. Its always raining here. But humans need sunlight, because they certain vitamin's that they get from the sunlight." He replied.

"I've never seen the sun." I replied. "what does it look like?" I inquired excitedly.

"it's a huge globe of white looking light. Sometimes it looks yellow. You aren't supposed to look at it because it would hurt your eyes." He informed me.

"Have you being outside during the day before?" He nodded.

"I did use to be human, you know." I widened my eyes.

"I thought most vampires were born vampires?"

"Well, since 1964 there have only been pureblood vampires created. However, before that most vampires were bitten - born." He paused and looked at me. "Were you not taught that in your schooling?" I shook my head.

"I didn't attend school." I looked down at my hands.

"Why not?" He asked, seeming confused.

"I was born into a vampire household, they didn't believe I needed schooling."

"How old were you when you left the household?"

"Around 14." My voice became quieter.

"Why?" he asked softly.

"Uuh, the young masters of the house took too much of a fancy to me, Si-Simon. Their sisters became jealous, and beat me before taking to me a feeding shop." I cringed at the memories.

"Why were their sisters jealous of you?" Simon replied, Confused.

I blushed and stared at my hands. Why anyone be jealous of me?
