I'd gathered a solid enough plan by the time the noon bell rang, but it would require me faking my way through some tremendously uncomfortable moments. When I casually strolled over to his crowded table at lunchtime, running what I was going to say in my head numerous times.
"Hey Justin, just wanted you to know that my plans for tonight fell through, so I would love to take you up on that offer to come to the party, if it still stands".
The dismayed, mouth agape look on Lele's face was priceless. I held my head up a bit higher, despite my feeling of nervousness and me wanting to crawl into a hole and die.
     "Um,okay, see you there".
     "What party?" Lele asks.
"Justin, you never gave me the address."
Justin concentrated intently on his white, metal rim on his coke can. Lele waisted no time put her two sense in, "Oh Allie, it's supperrr far and and the directions are sooo confusing".
If Sean, my friend who is so fond of me, taught me anything, it was how to win an argument.
"Hmm." "Well then, in that case, it just might be easier for you to pick me up on your way. Justin, why don't you or whoever's driving swing by?"
Lele was about to protest, but I saw Justin grab her hand, giving her a reassuring squeeze, as if reigning her in. He plastered a weary smile for me, "Sure can you be ready by eight thirty?"
"Of course, see you guys then". I turn jauntily on my heel as I see Lele give Justin one of her brow specials. Lele gives me a fake smile as I look away.
