I wake up, I'm in a hospital gown this time. My clothes are folded up neatly and piled on the small chair beside my bed. I can still hear the monitor beep beside me.
Mom looks like crap, no offense. Her almost gray hair is thrown messily into a bun, she didn't even bother to put in her contacts. Dad is staring at the ground, his head in his hands. They are in absolute hell. But given the circumstances, who wouldn't be?
"Mr and Mrs Reynolds? Oh sorry, Mr. Reynolds and Ms Parr?" The same blonde headed Nurse says looking up from the clipboard.
       "Yes". They say in unison.
"Your Daughter is going to be fine, everything's perfect. All she needs to do is wake up."
       "How long will that be?"
"Only time will tell. She will wake up when she's ready".
             ••••••
So Justin is okay, but Elena and Stephan are dead. This is terrible. All I want to do is wake up, I just want my Mom, Dad and sister. I just want to be able to get out of this bed and hug my family.
"Allie? Are you there? It's me, Elena."
"I'm here. Wha are you doing here? I thought you were dead."
"You're dreaming. You've been asleep off and on since the wreck. It's been three days since the accident. Justin's awake, he's fine. He just had a few cuts and bruises."
"What about me? How am I doing"
"You're in a coma. You need to wake up, do it for your family."
       "I don't know how."
"Just try..." her voice fades while she leaves.
The same nurse who told me to keep fighting comes in.
"Hey Allie. It's me. I realized I haven't gave you my name in the last three days. It's Maggie. I just wanted you to hear one of my secrets."
She pauses looking out of my window.
"I was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, stage two." She wiped her eyes. "I was 19, a year older than you. I had to tote around an oxygen tank where ever I went. I even had to sleep with a mask to keep me breathing. Well, In the middle of the night, it stopped working. I woke up, not being able to breathe. My dad carried me downstairs to take me to the hospital."
She pauses, taking a deep breath and releasing it.
"They told me my cancer had come back. I thought I had it beat. I was wrong. I worked so hard to beat it the first time I thought I wouldn't beat it. I did, because I tried really, really, hard and I had faith."
"I need you to do the same, for me and your family. For Justin, for your sister. For you."
She leaves again, the monitor continues to beep beside me. Growing louder and faster.
"Nurse! Nurse! We need a doctor in here!"
"Someone Paige Dr.Shepard, Bailey, and Meredith!"
         -she's waking up.."
