Lonely in Love

It's terrible to love someone who doesn't love you back.
Only wanting to talk to them,
Be with them,
Just be in their presence and make them happy,
And they don't feel that deep connection that you do,
It's heart-wrenching and will make you dissolve into ugly sobs in seconds.
You see them with other people,
Knowing that you will never be that close,
Jealousy rushes through you and it's all you feel.
They give excuses to not spend any time with you because they know how deeply you feel for them, but they don't feel the same,
So they avoid you,
Throwing an "I'm busy"
Or a "Sorry, I have plans"
Here and there to get out of seeing you.
It breaks your heart and you can't live with the fact that they don't have feelings for you.
You start to think negatively about love,
That you'll never find it,
That it will always break you down,
That it isn't real.
Love is good for some, making them extremely happy when the one they love feels the same way, but the others,
They're dying inside,
And nothing can save them anymore,
Not even love.
