Jess's POV.

I sat in the woods, alone, in a little hut that Luna and I had built when we were kids, when she was 7 and I was 8.

When I saw that picture on the dashboard, my chest felt tight, and it felt like somebody had kicked me in the stomach. All those feelings from that night came rushing back to me.

We were freshmen when it happened. Luna was dating the quarterback from our school's football team, a sophomore, and she really seemed to love him. His name was Dylan, and he seemed nice enough when I first met him, but I always felt uneasy around him, and I was never sure why.

One night, he took Luna and me to a party at his friend's house; I was nervous about it, but Luna was all for it. I sat in a corner for most of the night with my headphones on, trying to block out the noise.

At one point, I wandered off to find a bathroom. When I thought I was alone, I suddenly heard footsteps behind me. Dylan, who was very drunk at the time, wrapped his arms around me and held me tight, which startled me.

I desperately fought to get away, but he was much stronger than me. Next thing I knew, he'd dragged me into one of the bedrooms of the house, and pushed me down on the bed. He climbed on top of me and pinned me to the bed, and I noticed that his jeans were off. I tried to scream, but his big, strong hands were clasped around my throat, choking me and silencing me.

I kicked and squirmed and desperately tried to fight back, but it was no use. He pulled my shirt off, and just as he was trying to get my jeans off of me, Luna found us. She ran over to him and beat him to the floor, before that I had never known her to be violent. He ran off and she held me as I cried.

I've never quite been the same since that night and neither has she.

Luna's POV.

"So that's what happened," I said, finishing the story, and the boys stood in shock.

"What a jerk. I can't believe he did that to her," Steven said, enraged. "Is that why she's so shy?"
"Part of it, yeah. She's not very trusting of anyone. I really hope that Slash can help her out." I say still trying to hold back tears. "It was all my fault, I should have known," I say letting a few tears slip. Steven grabs me, "No it's not! He was a dick and didn't deserve you, and needs to get what's coming to him! For what he did to you and even worse for what he did to Jess!" he held me as I tried not to cry.

Jess's POV.

It was getting cold.

I sat in the little hut, curled up in a ball, shaking from where I'd been bawling my eyes out.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps, and I froze.

"Please don't be Dylan, oh dear God please don't be Dylan," I silently prayed.

"Jess?" said a familiar voice.
"Slash?" My voice shook. I crawled to the door of the hut and opened it. I saw him standing there. Without saying a word, he took me into his arms and comforted me until I stopped crying.
"What's wrong, cutie?" he asked, wiping smeared mascara from my face.

"Smashing that car, just brought back bad memories, Slash. I couldn't take it," I said, sniffling.
"Tell me about it," he said, and we sat down under a tree.

I told him the story, and he took me into his arms and didn't let go.
"Jess, I swear to God I would never, ever hurt you. You're so beautiful and you're the sweetest girl on the planet and you didn't deserve that," he said. "I'm in love with you, Jess. I want you to be my girl."

I sank in his arms and let him hold me for a few more minutes. Slash helped me to my feet and draped his denim jacket over my shoulders, and held my hand tightly in his as we walked back to find Luna and the boys. Luna was by a tree looking at the ground, she has always had my back after that night, but I was never sure why. "Hey, you okay?" Slash asked standing next to me. "Yeah, I'm good,is she okay?" I ask Steven who looks like he is about to explode. "I'm fine," she looks up. I can see small trails of eyeliner going down her cheeks. "I'm so damn sorry for what I did, it was wrong and stupid, and it's all my fault," she says looking down again. I see little tears fall down her face. I haven't seen her cry since that night. "That's it! Let's go!" Steven yells, grabbing Luna's arm firm but gently, mindful of the bruise still there from yesterday. The boys follow, just as angry. We start to run in the direction of Dylan's house, Slash keeps me at a distance. Steven goes and knocks on the door, Dylan opens it,"What the hell do you want? Oh and I see you've brought the sluts with you," he asks Steven, we can here his friends laughing inside. Steven doesn't say a word, he grabs Dylan by his varsity jacket and drags him over to me. "Apologizes now!" Steven says darkly. Dylan sees the hurt in mine and Luna's eyes,"I'm sorry......that there a couple of sluts!" Luna jumps forward and pounces on him. She beats him till his blood stains her fist, I hide my face in Slash's chest, he holds me till it's over. The boys pull her off of him. It starts to drizzle, Steven holds her as Dylan's friends drag him inside. Duff, Axl, and Izzy followed, making sure he got the message. Steven picks Luna up like a bride as Slash does the same with me, they carry us to the car, Duff, Axl, and Izzy follow behind. When we got there the boys carry us in. Slash carried me to my bed. "Stay," I whisper. He crawls in the bed with me as we drift off to sleep

Steven's POV.
I watched as Slash feel asleep with Jess, and looked down at Luna. She is such a strong girl, with such a big heart. She has already fallen asleep when I lay her down, I watch her slow breaths and how calm her face looks. I move a piece of hair out of her face. I slowly lean down and lightly kiss her soft lips, she smiles a little. I cuddle up to her, holding her close to my heart as I drift off with her.
