Becky:
"Brantley!" Taryn screamed and sat straight up on the couch. I had finally gotten her to fall asleep, but it didn't last long. After the Sherriff's called me, and I picked Taryn up from the police station, I brought her straight to Brantley's house. She was wrapped up in his jacket, with her knees to her chest. "It's alright sugar, it's gonna be just fine." I sat next to her and patted her knee. "Momma B, I want Brantley.." she smuggled pitifully. "I know Baby, I know. He'll bond out tomorrow morning, it's only 24 hours." I tried to calm her. She trembled and wiped away the tears. Seeing Taryn so broken was tearing up my heart, there had to be something I could do. Maybe if I called Judge Summers, he always did like Brantley...
Brantley:
"Not so mouthy are ya now son?" Hank, the deputy snarked. "Fuck off Barney Fife." I growled in warning. "You're in there for 24 hours, I'd watch your tone." He chuckled. "24 ain't shit son, not my first rodeo. Just you wait, I'll catch you without that badge on one day." I smirked darkly. He shut right up. "Gilbert! Quit scaring my deputies, it's your lucky day. Let him out Hank." The sheriff came in. "L-let him out?!" The portly deputy looked at me warily. "Yeah, cut him loose. Turns out he's got friends in high places, Judge Summers pulled some strings." The sheriff huffed. I grinned. Thank you Mamma. After they released me, I jumped in my truck, still parked in the lot, and called Mamma. After she told me they were at my house, I hauled ass there. As soon as I walked in the door, Taryn was on me. Her arms wrapped around my middle and she. Heroes her head in my chest. "It's alright Baby, I'm right here." I settled her. I exchanged goodbyes with my mamma, and Taryn and I headed upstairs for some much needed sleep.I was woken up the next morning by my cell phone ringing incessantly. I groaned and reached for it, careful not to disturb Taryn. She was curled up on my chest. "Yeah?" I answered without looking at the caller id. "Mmm I always did love your morning voice.. so sexy. Are you still in bed?" Amber's nasally voice grated on my ears. "What do you want?" I growled. "You silly. You can't possibly be serious about that little Taryn." She sounded so sure of herself. Deciding to knock her down a peg or too, I gently slipped out of bed, and hit FaceTime. Amber picked up immediately, she purred when she took in my bare torso. "What's the matter girl? You missin this?" I smirked and held the phone away from me, letting her see my my abdomen and my black boxer briefs. She bit her lip. "Does it make you mad that you'll never have me? That you'll compare every lover you'll ever have to me? And you know they won't measure up. Or does it make you mad that I've moved on and I'm happy? With this beautiful woman right here. Look at her, ain't she perfect?" I turned the phone so amber was looking at Taryn. In my bed. Wearing my tshirt. Cuddling my pillow to her chest. "Last time I'll tell you, we're over. Ain't no goon back." I growled and hung up just in time to hear her screech.
