The city streets were barren, the people had hurriedly escaped the rain- hiding in their houses. Anger filled her, she wanted nothing more than to return to Forks but the Cullen's had returned. They protected the town, preventing her from stepping foot anywhere close.
Alice could see Erica's movements before she even made them, and no matter how hard she tried to plan for it- she couldn't think a way around the visions. She figured that there had to be a way- a way that didn't involve spur of the moment decisions. She knew that planning and calculating was the only way she could survive, not by acting reckless and foolish.
Erica wanted to enact her revenge- her offer to change Bella being revoked, leaving her free to slaughter the family that had left her in ruins. Not only did she want this, she also wanted to see Paul. The stupid boy being the only thing that she could think of clearly, a clear decision being made on the matter.
Navigating the alleys and streets was easy for her. She had memorized them on her countless attempts at locating Victoria- the redhead evading her at every turn. Her late-brothers mate knew that she would be boiling with rage at her actions, Erica didn't blame her for hiding.
"I can explain."
Erica froze redirecting herself to an alley way bordered by deserted buildings. The place was bare, no sign of anyone else.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are," she sang. Her feet sent echoes as her skin met the cemented ground. "You can't hide forever."
"I can explain," Victoria pleaded, standing directly in front of her. "I know you're angry-"
"Angry?" she spat. "I m beyond angry! Do you have any idea what you've done? You killed an elder, then nearly killed Bella the same day. There is no way for me to get anywhere close to the area without someone there to chase me out."
"So, what?" Victoria sneered. "You're one of them now? You're just going to let them get away with killing James?"
Her nostrils flared and she flashed forward, pinning the girl to the wall.
"Don't you dare say anything like that to me again. They stole my brother from me, and I will have my revenge, but that can't happen if you intervene on my plans! You need to let me know things will be happening before sending me in blind," she whispered harshly. "I will rip the Cullen's apart. I will burn them to ashes but I cannot do so with you calling all the shots! I make the plans, Victoria, you keep us alive."
Backing away, she threw the redhead to the ground and continued down the alley. She was well aware that the girl would follow, they were the last existing members of their coven- ready to bring chaos to those that wronged them.
"We need to find a way around the psychic visions," Erica stated.
The cat like steps of feet behind her grew harder. "We should have killed her when she was still human," Victoria groaned.
Stifling the harsh words she wanted to fling at the girl, Erica took an unneeded breath. "We tried that, and it did not work. God, she smelt so good," She mused. "Do you remember the sweetness of her blood? The way it called to us?"
A purr of laughter echoed around them, filling her ears with the familiar sound. It was nice, to speak with the girl so easily- but it was a hollow feeling, one that remined her that they had never been this close. The death of her brother was what brought them together, as horrible as it sounds.
If possible, she would sacrifice Victoria a hundred times over if it brought James back.
"We could always leave the choices to a third party, one that the girl isn't watching," the redhead piped up.
"What are you talking about?" Erica spun around, eyes narrowed on the girl. "What do you mean?"
"We can get someone to do what you want, feed them whatever is necessary to get things to work," she explained.
"Someone who knows the area, someone young enough to believe the simplest lie," Erica thought allowed. "Alice would tell, she'll figure it out eventually in every possible scenario but if we play it just right- no, if we do everything to perfection then we may get away with it."
The Cullen's were a large coven, powerful in numbers and gifts. While Erica knew, she was strong- she was also aware of when she would be beat. Alice was watching for her- waiting for a direct approach. It would be impossible to catch any of them alone.
"We won't be able to go at them with a direct approach," Erica said. "I know what to do."
Music played from the small establishment, a place that Erica cared very little about. She had been waiting patiently for the past little while for the boy to exit- time not being that much of an issue for her.
Time had never been an issue after she was reborn. For years, she could do whatever she pleased and not care about the concept of time because when you have eternity and unnatural speed, time could never catch up.
It had been real at first- running and hiding from the people that condemned her, but now it was all simply a game because she was the devil with a pretty face. A girl pretty enough to be a snow queen but acted more like the dangerous Jack Frost- an Icarus that had flown too close to the sun and couldn't be burned by it's fiery breath.
And as though time was bestowing her a gift- the boy stepped outside into the rain. His blond hair sticking to his face and the droplets sliding down his high cheekbones.
Racing from the cover of the shadows, Erica shoved into him- a giggle passing her lips as she watched him lose his grip on the bag, the object tumbling to the floor. He swayed dangerously on his feet, the momentum go her hitting him causing him to lose his balance.
A smirk grew on her face and she ran forward, tossing his body to the ground a few feet from where he had previously been standing. She could feel joy swell in her chest at watching him hit the ground- his cries for help ringing like music in her ears.
He got up and ran, his heart beat echoing around her and she relished in the moment. She was on him in a second, wrapping a hand around his throat and she bit down.
He was plain- nothing special about the way he tasted. His blood was something she would have normally overlooked.
Removing her mouth from his neck, she let the thick red substance wash down her throat- the blood coating her hands and coat her mouth. Slowly, she lowered her head back down and her teeth pierced through the already damaged skin- though this time she did not drink.
The venom leaving her system and entering his was something she could never describe, and even if it was only brief, it brought a cold shiver down her spine that she greatly enjoyed.
Dropping him to the ground, she looked over her shoulder expectantly to where Victoria had been waiting. The redhead sauntered over, giving Erica a distasteful look at the mess she created.
"Can you, just once, feed like normal?" The girl hissed.
"Don't want to," Erica began to wipe her hands on the front of her shirt. "Take care of him, Vick. Riley Biers will be of great use to us."

Also, I know I may not update all that often but I would like to point out that telling me to update doesn't make me want to update any faster. I like to see comments that don't say update when I know that I need to update. If I'm not updating, then there is a reason.
Anyways ya, sorry if that sounds mean but whatever. All's good.
