Yurio ran as the crazy mob of cat-eared fangirls chased him. No matter where he went it seemed that they were there waiting, sniffing out his scent, prepared to pounce on the 15 year old skater.
Despite his intense figure skating training when he finally reached the inside of the hotel his legs were burning and he was out of breath and panting. He adjusted his leopard print jacket as he furiously grunted. This event added to his already overly angry mood which was not good for the major competition he had tomorrow. Although he won the Grand Prix Final he still had major competition with Yuri getting better everyday and with Viktor joining again. He did not need any distractions, especially ones involving crazy girls with some type of super smell sense. I wish I could have normal fans like everyone else, he thought.
He was walking down the long ass hall to get to his room, which really was obnoxiously long. He wasn't looking where he was going but instead grunting at the floor as he often did. He suddenly bumped into someone and thought, Great, now I have to apologize to whoever that was, and I swear to God if it is another one of those crazy cat-eared lunatics.... Yurio looked up and realized it was Otabek standing there wearing his leather jacket and carrying his motorcycle helmet. He didn't look like he usually did but more like something was bothering him, like he had somethinf to say. "Sorry," Yurio said in a slightly apologetic tone. "It's okay, it really was my fault for standing in the middle of the hall," responded Otabek as Yurio started quickly walking down the hall. "Wait," Okabek yelled out, "Thanks for the piroshki the other day" "Yeah, Yeah I just had extras, they would have spoiled anyways," Yurio responded as he continued walking down the hall without so much as looking back at Otabek. "I feel like I should repay you though, do you want to maybe grab some coffee. We haven't done that in a while" Yurio stopped and turned back around to face Otabek "Look, I really want to be left alone right now. Not in the mood. And don't feel like you have to repay me its not like I need your thanks. And can you stop acting like we're friends. We went out for coffee once. Once. Don't act like we're besties now," Yurio yelled harshly at Otabek. Otabek's face turned a bit pale and full of hurt as he turned around and walked away with out saying another word. Yurio just stood there realizing what he just said and what Otabek must have been feeling. After standing there for about a minute or so he turned around and walked back to his hotel room feeling extremely guilty.
Fuck, Fuck, Fuck. Why did I even say those things, I truly didn't mean it. Coffee with Otabek would have actually been nice. Like on the first day we truly met, he saved be from the cat-eared lunatics and now I am so mean to him. I feel so guilty. More guilty than I have in a really long time. Yurio had skipped practice and laid on his bed for hours just thinking about the things he said, and regretting them deeply. He didn't leave his room just to make sure he didn't have to go no where near Otabek, to make sure he wouldn't have to look him in the eye. In the end he didn't know why it hurt him so much and why he regretted the things he said to the point that he did and continued wondered how badly Otabek must feel. He knew he should go apologize, and that doing so would fix everything, after all Otabek wasn't one to hold a grudge. Get off this bed stop being so depressed. Everything will be fine if you go and say sorry. Imagine how badly you will do tomorrow if you have this on your mind. Go. Go!, Yurio screamed inside his head. He got onto his feet and ran out the door knowing that if he didn't he would turn back around and continue moping. He continued running to Otabek's room, without stopping for a single second and nearly trampled down a few hotel guests. He ran down the long maze like hallway until he finally reached the door that would either the biggest mistake or one of the best things he ever did.
He knocked on the door, practically pounded and Otabek answered wearing a very see through tee-shirt. The expression on his face was slight shock. He looked as if he had also been moping around, maybe even crying. Now's not the time to worry what he may have been doing, how he may have been hurt. Now was the time to fix things. "I'm sorry," Yurio blurted out still panting from when he ran over. Otabek's dull facial expression did not change and stayed neutral as Yurio continued. "I am truly sorry for the words I said. I didn't mean any of it. I didn't know what I was doing when I said all of that. Especially since you've been nothing but nice to me. And I'm not asking for complete forgiveness or anything. You don't even have to say anything back but I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry," Yurio continued. "Do you want to come in and talk?" Otabek asked. Yurio didn't know if he was serious or not. How could I have yelled at him, said all those things and then still have Otabek even consider talking to me. "Sure," he said in a rather calm voice despite all the thoughts going through his head as Otabek held the door open for him.
Yurio sat down on the love seat in front of the TV still not completely certain whether this was truly happening or not. "Do you want anything to drink?" Otabek asked. "Nah." He said as he sat down on the armchair in front of me. "I just want you to know that I'm not mad at you for snapping at me. It would be a lie to say it didn't hurt me at all but I cant blame you. We are all stressed out because of the competition and since you are truly sorry its okay." How could he be so okay with this? I know In hurt him. Yurio stayed silent for a moment before saying exactly what he was thinking, "How can you be so okay with all the things I said. You were trying to be nice to me and I didn't consider your feelings at all. How can you look me in the eye like everything's okay? How are you not mad?" "Because I could never be mad at you," Otabek said in a calm voice before leaning over Yurio and kissing him on the lips. Yurio was in shock but he didn't pull away but instead kissed Otabek back to his own surprise. Yurio could feel the heat of Otabek's lips on his own icy cold ones. Otabek's hands were entangled into Yurio's hair and Yurio pulled his own hands around Otabek's back pulling him closer. They stayed like that for a while with there lips pressed together until they pulled apart. Yurio's face turned red and he looked away not knowing how to react to what Otabek and had done. He was shocked at just how much he enjoyed it but could feel the tension building as they both sat there saying nothing. Yurio knew he should respond somehow but he truly had no words and the only thing he could think of doing was hugging Otabek. He ended up pushing both of them down on the love seat, Yurio laying on top of Otabek. With his arms around Otabek's neck he whispered into his ear, "I'm sorry" a final time and Otabek whispered back "Its okay" as he smiled and kissed Yurio on the cheek.
