The Seirin basketball team finished practicing and the boys were changing their clothes in the locker room.
“Geez, coach seems to be in a high spirit today.” Koganei sighed. “She made us play with Shutoku high during summer and made her dad train us.” He continued looking at the ceiling with the towel on his head.
“That witch! She made me miss all the games with Shutoku and ran to the beach all throughout summer.” Kagami clenched his fist and his body was heating up. Good thing Kuroko splashed him a bucket full of cold water and ice behind. “KUROKO!” He cried clenching his fist more and blabbering something but Kuroko was calm and composed the whole time
“Isn’t this amazing? Everyone seemed to be in such a high spirit now that we’re gonna play against Ryonan high in our next game.” Kyoshi muttered and laughed but no one seems to be listening.
The door opened and to everyone’s surprise…. It was a girl. Most of the boys were half naked and only Kuroko, whose head was about to be taken by Kagami, was the one wearing a shirt. The boys seemed to be stunned seeing a cute girl.
My white hair was on her waist level, I had blue eyes and I seemed to be carefree about the boys staring at her.
“Wrong door.” I muttered with a plain face. I was not really surprised to see half naked boys. I was about to close the door when “Michiko?” a familiar voice called. The door stopped closing. And I heard my name again. “Michiko.” Kuroko called and I didn’t realize he was standing next to me. Kagami looked at his arm and Kuroko was no longer there. I was surprised but my expressionless face tells the otherwise.
Everyone thought that Kuroko was so cool to be recognized by a cute girl. “Who are you?” I asked emotionlessly and they all fell out of their seats. They thought that he really knew me. “Kuroko Tetsuya, member of the Generation of Miracles, nice to meet you.” He introduced as he lowered his head and I just stared at him. “Generation of Miracles.” I slowly repeated and Kuroko stared at me. “You don’t remember us?” He asked looking back up at me. “I don’t remember you.” I answered straightforwardly.
I guess it was already given that Kuroko isn’t really that remarkable. After all, he was also called the Invisible Player and lacks presence the whole time.
We’ve been staring for quite a long time trying to figure out why I couldn’t remember him. “Maybe I lost your picture but you feel familiar to me.” I added and kept staring at him. “Mhm!” He nodded.
“Oi! Girls shouldn’t hang around guys who are half naked! If you’re going to talk to him, do it outside.” Kagami said getting flared up. “Kagami, are you jealous because Kuroko is interested to her?” Kiyoshi asked pointing at me and I looked at them. “Kiyoshi! You’re making me look like a gay!” Kagami cried losing his temper.
“I was looking for the toilet and got lost.” I explained. “I’ll lead you to the toilet.” Kuroko seemed to be used at me getting lost. “How could you be so carefree around us?” Kagami cried but I left already with Kuroko.
“I didn’t know you’ll be studying here.” Kuroko said as I took a bite on the apple. We were walking towards the exit of the gym. “My father is currently working abroad. He thinks it’s not a good idea to let me live alone.” I explained while Kuroko looked my way. “Who’s taking care of you now?” He asked. “My cousin.” I said as she munched the apple. “I kinda agree to you father.” He continued looking to where we were going. “You must’ve taken care of me since you understood my father’s decision.” I spoke and remained looking forward.
We arrived where Kagami was waiting. “You should join the team.” Kuroko demanded. Looking at Kagami and the others they seem to disagree. “She looks weak like Kuroko.” They all thought.
