After Blue Symphony's time space to preform the crowd had gone mad basically demanding an encore which was given to them. All the while Yuma had been shoving drinks into my hands, everytime I'd give her a skeptical look but sip on it anyways. It was strange being out at this time of night but that was probably just me being nervous. Namely cause I kept noticing people, girls specifically, staring at me. It was really uncomfortable, the only times I was normally approached by women was when they needed help with class work. Granted, there may have also been ulterior motives for it, seriously I'm naive but not that naive.
My head was beginning to hurt a bit from how loud this place was. I told Yuma I was gonna be at the far tables if she wanted to find me later. Smiling she handed me another drink and said she'd be over later. I sat down with a small sigh at the table in the furthest back reaches of the area hoping it'd be a touch quieter, unfortunately it wasn't any better. Resting my head on the table I decided to zone out for a while.
A firm thud had me sitting bolt upright after I'd finally started to ignore the surroundings, a pair of vibrant red eyes met my questioning ones. Momentarily dazed and confused I stared at the person in front of me, it was that guy that was singing earlier. Why'd he sit here with me of all people?
"Sup?" His voice rang out friendly as his eyes stayed trained on mine.
"Not much?" I responded sounding as confused as I felt.
"My name's Jiro." He tilted his head as if examining me.
"Um... (y/n)..." I answered feeling unnerved by the current racing of my heart. It felt weird having my heart beat like this.
"You look kinda flushed, first time at a concert?" Jiro asked with a smile on his pale lips.
"Yeah, so...?" I responded not understanding were the conversation was going.
"It gets pretty stifling with so many people in one place, huh?" He turned staring at all the people gathered together, crowding closer to the stage which now hosted a new band. I shrugged in an indifferent response, wishing the conversation would end already.
Jiro eyed me in an intrigued manner his smile still firmly in place, "Humor me a bit, it's not often I get to talk with someone as interesting as you."
I tried keeping my face neutral as my chest tightened for a second, "I'm not interesting in the slightest."
"Really now?" As his smile shifted into a sly smirk he rested his arms on the table completely relaxed. "You're interested in me but not because I'm a singer. Is it because I'm an albino or because we're roughly the same age?"
In part he was right, it wasn't because he could sing. The albinism probably contributed to his exotic air, but I honestly couldn't care what age he was though. I guess my face gave me partly away because he smiled friendly again, "I just moved here, my band did too. Our parents sent us here because we're 'embarrassing' to them."
"Huh..." was all I could manage before the words caught in my throat, wait a minute. What'd he just say?
"Could you repeat that?" I asked unwilling to believe what I just heard.
"Sure, my band and I are gonna be attending Vanderwood. You know the school I'm guessing?" He asked resting his chin in his right palm.
Know the school? I attended the school! What the fucking hell?!
"Yeah, I know it. It's a pretty strict school... I'm guessing you've already got the uniforms...?" Inwardly I was cringing from my lack of social skills. My face was probably still half frozen in it's pokerface while only half showing emotion.
"Yeah... I think we got them... So, do you go there? It'd be nice to know someone who's ya know... been there awhile longer..." Jiro's smile turned shy as he leaned back a bit rubbing his neck awkwardly.
"Yeah, Yuma and I go to Vanderwood. She'd probably be the best person to show you around." I answered feeling duely awkward from being around people.
"Well we'll see tomorrow morning then." He beamed excitedly.
"Hey (y/n)! Who're you talkin' to?!" Yuma's voice broke through the awkwardly warm silence between Jiro and I. Once she was close enough she gasped excitedly, I could hear her excitedly jump in place just behind me and squeak happily.
"Um... Hi?" Jiro's smile appeared uncomfortable now with the addition of Yuma to the group.
"Hi! Uh... your name's Jiro right? Oh my fffff... I'm Blue Symphony's biggest fan..." I tuned out as Yuma yammered on and on about Jiro and his band. Looking for a means of escape from the area I made up an excuse to leave, quickly skirting out of the bar was pretty easy. Inhaling the fresh air, I glanced at the bars doors as they opened to reveal a clearly annoyed Jiro.
He glanced around quickly before his scarlet eyes rested on me, "Can I hide out with you for a bit? I think my group kinda left me."
I shrugged trying to remain indifferent but, I think he caught sight of my surprise before I could hide it. Jiro beamed at me and hurried us along to a nearby noodle shop. Ducking into the quaint little Shop we were immediately greeted by a semi familiar face, well to me at least. Gena smiled at us, clearly he didn't recognize me from school. Which I was thankful for. Jiro ordered ramen looking like a kid in a candy shop. I only wanted some water, because for all I know Yuma could've drugged me again.
