Chapter 4 : Bonno

I sat on Echo waiting for Derick to finish tacking up Batman. "Come on D, your like the slowest person ever" I cried. "Wel sorry I'm not a expert like you are." Derick said sarcastically.

On our way back to my house Derick and I chatted away. We talked about Emily and Mike and Rayn who'd propably marry his horse one day. Derick also told me that he was looking for a job on a ranch so he can buy one himself one day. And here I was thinking Football is his forever.

We got to my house, dismounted our horses and tied them to the post at our barn. "Now Derick I think that your Bay Quarter Horse is in the paddock next to the barn. We named him Bonno." I told Derick as we walked towards the paddock's gate.

I called Bonno and he came running in all his glorry towards us. Derick and I opened the gate and went into the paddock.

"So is it your Bonno?" I asked Derick.

"It most definitly is." He looked Happy. "Hello my Boy. I see you also like Shelby" he said while stroking Bonno's face.

He looks so bloody hansome.

"What is his name?" I asked very intrested

"Wel I just called him Mr. Brown, but Bonno sounds nice." He said as he looked back at me.

Great now Derick isn't just a crush anymore. I'm falling in love with this boy.

"Is it okay if Bonno stays here with you. Where I know he is save." He practicaly begged me. "It will also give me a reason to come by and see you more often." He added.

"Well he is part of the ranch now." I said feeling the heat in my cheecks from his last comment. I mean the hottest guy in school just said he wanted to see me more."As for the last part you see me at school to" I said just remembering he is part of the populars and won't give up his group to hang with a country girl who's been wearing the same jeans for the last 4 month's (they do get washed).

"Yeah I know." He said and winks

I think I just fainted.

Derick's POV :

As we got our horses and rode back to Mike and Rayn's house I saw Shelby not really into talking with me. I don't know what I did wrong. But I'll do anything for her I even told my group today that I'm going to spend more time with Shelby. They were suprizingly supportive.

Shelby your just as beautiful as the car. When you smile the sun creeps behind a cloud as it is humiliated that he can't shine as bright.

I have to get thru to her.

Emily's POV:

"I wonder why those two are taking so long." I asked as it's been two hours. Mike's head is on my lap and Rayn is playing a ranch game on their Playstasion.

"Maby they found their way into her room" Rayn chuckels. He is the one wirh the dirty mind were Mike is the romantic one.

"Rayn come on man Shelby has standards and Derick isn't a dick. They are probably just walking with the horses" Mike answerd rather frustrated at his brother.

Just then the door swinged open

SHELBY'S POV :

"Hey Mikely and Rayn." I said as I walked in behind a rather upset Derick.

"Emily I think it's time we go home its getting late and Ma is cooking our favourite." I said as I started walking out the door. "Bye guys thanks for the invite we'll do it again"

Then I feel someone grabing my hand and turning me into a hug. I know it was one of the boys. Then I smell that its Derick. Oo my gosh. He is hugging me. "Goodnight By." I heard him say. I hugged him back

Hey sorry everyone I haven't posted in a while but I've been busy working with some Horses up in Zambia. But I'm back in SA now.

I post another chapter before this week is done.

I missed this story and its characters so much.
