Betrayed

Chapter 3

This year wasn't so lucky for me considering with the war between the Warius and Thieves clan. I however,was against it. I was one of the many protester against this war. The war was over land, which was stupid. Could they not split the land in half. No, people have to be greedy. Yet, they made every women, man and child participate.
It was awful. After the war, I finally went back to school. When I arrived at school there was a flyer saying win a spot for an all expense-pay cruise. So I sign the requirements:
Name-AJ
Age-19
Race-Thief
And left the sign sheet. When it comes to school, I'm well balanced than others like I only have a small group of friends in and outside of school. Since my parents died due a swords in their throats and hearts plunged out of their bodies. It's just me and my shadow. Well I saw my friends for the first time in a year and they hugged and cried for me.

"I'm sorry to hear that your parents die like that," My friend Ami said.

"Surely must of been frighten AJ?" Saluki said.

"Yes it was frightening, but I had to persevere and go on." I said dramatically.

"So did your parents die right in front of you and were you not traumatized?" Saluki question curiously.

"It was horrific and no cause one day I'll die just as horrible as my parents, but the blood was splurged everywhere on the battlefield, people themselves, weapons the whole thing," I said while recollecting the war.

"And was over just land?" Ami said.

"Yes, but they say this land had oil on it. So who has the land gain wealth and prosperity."

"So who won?" Saluki said.

"No one did!" I said.

Their faces were shocked by this truth.

"No that can not be it?" Ami questioned.

"Well it's true. Apparently it was the Madame's, which is the governor, property so she came in at the last minute to buy the land," I explain.

"I swear someone just needs to kill her," Saluki exclaim.

"If she dies her 'darling' granddaughter takes over," Ami pointed out.

"Speak of the she-devil herself," I pointed out.

Madame's granddaughter Hyla, a stuck up noble, with her golden braided locks that she like she is from a fairy tale. She is about your average for noble 5'6, age 17 and snobby.

"Oh look it's a freak has return from the war. I thought you died," she said meanly.

"I thought burn at the steak, you witch." I replied and continued,"now go fly away."

She a pouty face and left. We laughed.

"Is anyone else signing for the cruise? Cause no else signed except for a few people" I requested politely.

"Cause people thinks it's a hoax or a trap by the teachers. Why did you sign it?" Ami asked.

I nodded and everyone was shocked.

"I just came from the war. Of course I'm gonna sign up for it. I need vacation. Plus, have you thought it might be a bluff or ruse?" I questioned.

"No. Not with this school." Saluki remarked.

"Well I'm going and that's that!" I shouted.

The day end and we said our goodbyes.
