Betrayed

Chapter 2

It's been nearly a year and the war is finally over between the Warius and Thieves clan. Sadly, my parents and I where in the war. It's kind of sad, this world I mean, everyone is in some kind of war whether it be emotional, self, other people. War it only leaves to disaster and despair; nothing comes from it only hatred. All that is done and over with, now I'm back in school(due to I was in the war). As I arrive, I saw this flyer for all-expense payed cruise. "I need a vacation from the hell-of-a-hole," I said to myself. Then I fill out the requirements: Name-Serenity
Age-18
Race-Warius
"There all done!"
I turned and I saw my home room teacher, Mr. Keyla and he approach me and said, "Back from the war?"
"Yes, sir alive and well!" I said ecstatically.
"How is your parents doing?" He asked with a concern tone.
"I'm afraid that they are gonna be out for a good while. Doc said maybe a couple of months." I explained.
"My regards. Well see you in class." Walks away.
At least in this messed up world, there is hope. School ends and I'm on my way to the market. I grabbed a couple of strawberries, lettuce etc, making Strawberry Salad tonight. I walked into my house and I felt a strong wind blow through so, hard it knocked me over on the ground and landed on my bum. I stand back up and into the kitchen. Then I fixed my favorite dish Prickle Boar Burgers and fries. After I ate, I went to visit my parents in the hospital. I have been going everyday since the war plus I have checkup, just to make sure no disease and such. I arrived at the hospital and as I was about to go in a nurse had stopped and said,

"I'm sorry miss I'm afraid your not allowed in there."

"Oh why can't I see my parents? Where is the doc? I want to speak to him!" I demanded.

"I'm sorry I'm new here I didn't know these were you parents. Please proceed," she said and walks away.

"Wait, but I can see the doc I want to see how they holding medical wise?" I requested.

She nods and here comes the doc. He tells they're doing fine medically, but there is something wrong.

"Medically they are doing fine, but internally no. Both of your parents have a hole in their heart. We temporarily fixed, but they only have a few hours to live." He explained and he took his glasses off.

I was devastated by this and I began crying. The doc said I can stay until they pass and left. After an hour of crying, I hear my parents tried to talk their final words.

"My dear Serenity, we are so proud of you. You have brought us honor to our family. So I just wanna to say we love you," mom said.

"Serenity my baby girl, don't be afraid of world and remember make friends and treat them kindly. If you do that they will be there when need. Now will you smile for me one more time," Dad said.

I lift my head and smile. They smiled and passed away.
