The Misadventures of Nathan!

Chapter 3. Hanging Out..

Nate was just about to head out the door to Eden's house when he saw a FedEx truck pull up, they had him sign a paper and gave him his package, he couldn't believe it, finally the binder he had ordered Eden for his birthday had come in, he wanted to make sure that even though he wanted to keep his distance from Eden  due to feelings he couldn't control---he wanted to make sure Eden had a great birthday, and he knew that Eden needed a binder so he wouldn't need to bind with bandages anymore, that always concerned Nate since he cared so deeply about him and knew it could possibly prevent top surgery, so trying to keep his excitement at bay he wrapped the gift carefully and head out for Eden's place.

He met up saw him and just couldn't wait for his birthday to give it to him.

'Hey.....before we go..I know your birthday isn't here yet, but I have the money now...here-I hope you like it bud' I handed him the gift and watched him excitedly unwrap it and he looked so happy----he looked happier than he had in a long time

''Dude! You're amazing! Thank you SO much!! He hugged me, and I felt like I was on cloud nine, like I could just melt in his arms forever, but I tried not to show that, he looked like he was about to cry happy tears, like he couldn't believe I remembered his birthday was coming up, but I mean, how can I possibly forget when this was Eden? He was amazing and it hurt my heart to see that he truly felt like he wasn't worth it, like he wasn't worth anyone's time, like no one cared, but I cared-way more than a best friend should and I just wanted him to have all the happiness in the world, before we left I had him put it on, so he could walk out feeling like the man he is, when he came out, I asked him if everything was okay

'Hey Ed?'

'yeah?'

'Is everything all right?'

'of course, why would you think anything is wrong?'

Maybe because I have a deep connection with you that provides me with a 6th sense that tells me when everything isn't okay..

'It's just cause you haven't talked to any of use and you haven't been going to school..so I though something might be wrong, but I trust you, if  anything is wrong, you can count on me for helping you out'

'Thanks Nate, I appreciate it'

He looked like he was thinking about weather or not he should tell me what was really going on, but then decided against it, trying to break the tension, he spoke

'so uh Nate, where are we going?'

'To the park, just to walk around and look at the beautiful trees and clear our heads'

'sounds nice, thanks for hanging out with me'

'no problem, I missed you bud'

He was slightly blushing, like he didn't know what to think about someone actually missing him, but flattered by the idea, I guess Dean hasn't really been around lately because my Eden--even if he wasn't actually mine, shouldn't be feeling like this..
