The Misadventures of Nathan!

Chapter 4:The Park.

Nathan really didn't think he could be any happier, he and Eden just sat under a tree and just seemed to talk about everything--animals, cartoons, fanfics, it was amazing how much they still had in common. He really enjoyed spending time with Eden, he forgot how hard he had to try to make loving him so completely obvious, he had been pushing his feelings down for quite some time, and more and more they seemed to be growing and spiraling out of control, Eden just had this thing where no matter what happened--he just kept going, he was really brave in the way that he presented himself as the man he truly is, rather than the girl everyone thought he was before. He really didn't want this day to end yet and he had hoped Eden didn't either.

So uh Ed, I was thinking that we haven't hung out for a bit and I really missed spending time with you..so I was thinking that after the park, want to go to the mall? Maybe grab some lunch and buy you some clothes and just spend time together and forget everything else ya know? He knew something was up with him, he looked sadder and thinner and he really wanted to make him smile again, he really loved his smile---he thought his smile was really handsome and it showed him that he was truly happy and not just putting on a show to hide his inner wall of despair.

'Sure Nate! I missed spending time with you too, there's a lot going on and I would love to spend time with someone who actually cares about me'

I knew Dean wasn't being the boyfriend that Eden deserves, ugh, why am I always right?

'I'll always care about you ed, c'mon let's go.

They walked to the mall, holding hands, just skipping along, Nate felt happier than he had in a long time, he felt like he was finally complete---like he was with his other half finally, and he really couldn't be happier. Nate noticed that Eden was blushing really badly and smiling like he just won the lottery twice, it was super adorable and he wanted to make Eden that happy for as long as he lived, reality seemed to kick in for Nate, he knew it couldn't stay like this; Eden wasn't his, he was Dean...and yet he didn't know what happened with Dean and why he wasn't the one spending time with Eden and making him feel loved and cared about. Still though he knew he had to make it to where he didn't cross boundries, he couldn't let himself get too comfortable with the idea of being with Eden

'listen Eden, I LOVE spending time with you..but I'm just scared of crossing any boundries, I mean I know you're still with Dean, so I just want to be careful.

He saw Eden frown and wanted to kiss his frown upside down so to speak. He didn't want him to be sad; that wasn't his intention and it hurt to see him like this but he couldn't do anything about it.

'uh, yeah I'm still with Dean, it's just I haven't seen him for awhile, haha weird huh? Yeah, I think he's just really buys, don't worry about it, I just want to hang out and forget everything right now'

'alright just tell me if anything is wrong, you guys are..really cute' He had to say that, he knew he couldn't let his walls slip, he couldn't let himself fall further when he was already in so deep.

'Haha thanks so where should we go for lunch?'

'Um, I don't know, let's look around and check out our options' they looked around the food court and then Nate noticed that Eden got a message, Eden looked alarm, but tried not to show it.

'Who was that Ed?'

'no one, sorry just got a notification from a game, haha, um I need to go to the restroom, I'll be right back'

I tried to appear dumbfounded

'uh ok, I'll look for a table for us'  

Nathan watched Eden head out, he knew it wasn't a simple game notification, Eden looked horrified and didn't even know it. Still he tried to ignore it and look for a table.

Nathan was getting worried and his edsense was kicking in very bad, he set out to look for Ed and once again wished he wasn't always correct--oh there you are ed

it saddened and angered him at the same time to see Eden like this, he tried to stay positive; tell himself that at least Eden might get closure now but he really hated seeing Eden tear up like this, he knew Eden tried so hard to hide how hurt he was that Dean hadn't been around for awhile--he knew how much he felt like Dean loved and cared for him in the beginning and to acknowledge how hurt he was was a very hard thing for Eden to do because he always wanted to appear strong and put together even when he felt like his world was falling apart and during these time, Nate just wanted Eden to know that he is loved, that he is cared about, that if he could he would over Eden the world, but he knew he couldn't all he could do was stand up for Eden right now and see what was going on.

'Dean! What are you doing here and what are you doing to Eden?'

He held Eden at his side while he cried

'listen Nate, I just came to talk to my boyfriend and explain what's going on, I'm not doing anything bad, I swear'

This wasn't fair to Eden and it hurt Nate to see him in so much pain.

'fuck you Dean, fuck you! You're a fucking bitch. Let's go Eden'

before he left he waited for Eden to be a bit farther and grabbed Dean by the collar

'Look here DEAN, Eden is my very best friend, and if you make him cry like that again, I swear I will beat you to a pulp with no regrets' 'so unless you make him cry through a breakup, you better watch it, because he deserves way better than what you have been giving him! He pushed him back and caught up with Eden and hugged him,

'I'm real sorry man, I know I was a bit harsh, but I'm very protective and your 'boyfriend' is pissing me off because I know you deserve the world and he doesn't even seem to be trying to give it to you'
