It was too hard, and unpredictable.

The attack took down a lot of strength, whether it mentally or physically, and the green-clad Hunter felt himself falling completely.

He was losing himself again, he could feel it.

His mind was nowhere near strong enough, and the attack was too brutal to recover.

The Chimera Ants were nothing.

They were minor towards the Freecss' true enemy.

Mathematics.

"Gon!"

The voice of a girl made him flutter from his thoughts, relaxing his previously concentrated face. Rotating his body within his rolling-chair, he quirked a brow at the coughs erupting from (Name). When a minute passed, he spoken up, concern in his tone.

"(Name)-chan, you okay?"

"Dude! What have you been burning in here?! There's nothing but smoke!"

Sticking out his tongue, the fisher rubbed at his neck nervously. He had no idea what she was talking about.

"Nothing, I swear! I was just trying to finish this math homework Mito-san gave me.."

"Math?! Oh no.. Gon, have you been steaming again?"

"Eh?"

"Nothing, nothing. Look, I brought you something."

She waved off his worries quite quickly, but he didn't complain. She tended to do that, though for things that were minor. Then, he had noticed what resided in her hands. It was a silver tray, with a plate full of sandwiches and a fresh cup of orange juice had loved so much. Guess they noticed his current one was empty. A quick glance to his side merely supported it. It was starting to pick up dust. Had he been that focused on work?

"Thanks, (Name)-chan."

"Don't thank me, Mito-san made it after all. She felt a little bad for forcing you to do all that."

She set it down on his desk, and Gon resisted a smile. Mito-san didn't make it, as with a quick glance through his window, he'd still see her outside, hanging out laundry. She's been there for the past thirty minutes, and he mentally promised to help her out whenever he got finished.

Taking a sandwich, he gave a smile the girl's way.

"Thanks, (Name)-chan. I appreciate it."

Her face flushed, but she didn't reply, stuffing her hands in her pockets.

"Is the work really that hard?"

"Yes!"

"But I already finished mine."

Being (Name) was now living in the Freecss household, she too was a victim towards catching up in schoolwork. She expressed she didn't really have a place to return to, and Gon noted she was living in the Heaven's Arena. He didn't object, of course. However, the thing was, she finished the work for one semester, whereas he was barely reaching the half-way point. Pouting his lips, he rotated his body back and resumed his work.

"You're mean, (Name)-chan."

"Maybe, but it's worth it. You're cute when you pout, after all."

When he didn't respond, she quirked a brow. He was still frowning whilst pouting. Two could play this game. Clearing her throat, the female spoke idly, ignoring the scribbles emitting from Gon's paper.
