The Precautions.

Panic fueled my short puffs of breath.
Why did he have to return, why now?!
My weather-worn cloak billowed out behind me as I sweeped down the corridors, only the nervous shifting if my eyes betrayed my true emotions. We would have to be more cautious now, this was not our typical adversary. It was time the people of my little organization were informed. Informed of him.

Most believed me to be a simple messinger to our leader, ha! As if I would answer to another. I had always been far too obsessive for that. Only my few most trusted knew that the two beings, Diana and Ghost were one and the same.
I came to the large wooden entrance to the barracks, the place where most of my employees could be found at this hour, if not every hour. After all, they were not known as some of the best fighters in the kingdom for their looks. It was located in an old wine cellar, with curved ceilings littered with metal hooks, from which ragged straw men in torn soldier's uniforms dangled haplessly.
The sound of casual discussions drifted out into the hall, merging into a pleasant hum. A hush fell over the room as I entered, all waiting with baited breath, recognising me as the messinger, despite the fact that I never make an appearance without a face submerged in fabric.
"Ghost commands that we be cautious and move with the shadows." My voice little more than a whisper, yet able to entrap the whole rooms occupance. One particularly brazen man, a new recruit whom I instantly took a disliking to, saw fit to speak up.
" and just why should we do tha'? I think I like people knowin' who I fight for." His voice was almost as annoying as his attitude.
"Why you ask?" My steel gaze burrowed into his, causing him to falter, no longer so sure of himself. With a voice just as cold I saw fit to inform him. " Because he has returned, brother and we can not afford to lose one of our own just for the sake of feeding our egos."

I then left the room, its occupelence now as solemn as the attendance of a funeral, but fully prepared to take on whatever onslaught would come next. My eyes went dark.
This time, I will not make the same mistake.

"I overheard your little speech to the rabble, you are one for the dramatics, aren't you?"
I sighed rubbing my face with my hand, "They know now, I can only hope that those idiots do not make another one of their foolish decisions."
I had arrived back at my office, Yin at my side. At that current moment I was prolonging the time until I would have to face the stacks of paperwork thrown haphazardly across my desk that stared up at me gloatingly.  Who knew an illicit anti-government organisation would require so much written work." I do hope that you realize that glaring at the papers will not make them write themselves."
I chuckled resignedly "Well you cannot fault me for trying."
