Do you thinks she was born like that?
wanting not to be fat?
No the girl who once thought of ice cream and candy now counts her calories.
She was never told that her body doesn't need to fit into size zero to be beautiful.
She never knew what beauty meant.
She thought that beauty was bottle cap wrists and hair twisted in braids with thigh gaps and gapless teeth.
That's what she thought was beauty.
So when you call her gorgeous she will look down and sigh because you don't know what she does to looks like that.
That behind close doors she throws up her meals and tosses and turns in her bed crying because she just wants to be beautiful.
So when you tell her that she's beautiful
She won't believe you.
So instead of telling her she's beautiful
Tell her that she's not worthless because of a number
Tell her that you love her
Tell her that she doesn't need to throw up her food that she doesn't need to cry over her body.
tell her art is beauty and art was never meant to look good it was meant to make you feel something.
