"So did you want to come with us?" Evelynn asked popping in the doorway but then realized Adrian hadn't said anything because he was blushing really hard as he stared at Marinette's outfit.

Adrian blinked and then looked at Evelynn.

"Sure! Let me just ask my room mate if that's ok." Adrian held up a finger and turned to walk into another room.

Leaving Marinette and Evelynn standing awkwardly at his open door.

"What? Another party? Why the heck would I come?" A female voice demanded.

"Sorry! I'm sorry! I guess I'll see you later then." Adrian popped back out of the room sliding on a jacket.

"Let's go then!" Marinette grinned and skipped down the hallway towards the stairs.

"Wait, we're not going that way." Evelynn called.

Marinette turned around, eyebrow arched. "Is it on this floor or something?" She walked back.

"Nope, it's a secret place and you'll just have to follow me." Evelynn smiled and then walked down the hallway.

Adrian looked at Marinette and she looked back. Then they both shrugged and caught up.

"Here we are!" Evelynn smiled proudly at the elevator doors.

"I thought the elevator was out of order." Marinette shot her another confused glance.

"Precisely." Evelynn smirked and pressed the button.

The door opened and the shaft was pitch black. However, the faint shimmer of a silver pulley peeked out from the centre.

Without speaking, Evelynn jumped onto the cord and slid down. Adrian and Marinette just froze in shock and waited for her to say something.

"Come on guys!" Evelynn's voice beckoned from down below.

Adrian looked at Marinette and then shrugged, a playful grin growing on his face and then he jumped. He whooped and then there was a soft clunk sound and he started laughing.

Marinette stood still, staring at the shaft. She remembered the first time she wore her earrings. How scared she was that they might do something to her. But it turned out fun and heroic in the end and she really enjoyed being a super hero. So this could be the same. Marinette took her chances and backed up to do a running start. However, before she could grab onto the rope, her clumsiness kicked in and she tripped, front flipping down the shaft and into Adrian's arms.

They blushed staring into each other's eyes and then he set her down on her own two feet.

"Hey, I thought you said that your boyfriend was back in Paris, who's he then?" Evelynn asked.

Marinette looked over at her and blushed smiling a tiny bit.

"A-Adrian's not my boyfriend, w-we've just been friends for a while...that's all." Marinette stammered, scratching the back of her neck.

Adrian smiled in the darkness softly. Not her boyfriend yet...
