Maya's POV
Lucas finally got Rion to roll over for him. It was after, of course, everyone else had seen Rion do it. I laughed for days watching Lucas try, and fail, to get Rion to flip over.
I haven't actually unpacked any of my stuff. Well not really. I've slowly been bringing stuff up to Lucas'.
"Maya, did you move in?" Zay asks one day.
"What? No. I just have a few things here. Most of it's in the car." I say as I attempt to put a new shirt on Rion.
"Maya, all your stuff is here." Farkle points out.
I look around and am surprised to see all my things have moved to the room. My clothes hang in the closet and my shoes lie on the floor. My laptop sits on the desk next to my sketchbook full of my doodles and ideas."Oh, wow. I didn't really realize."
"So are you guys..." Zay asks with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.
"No. You know what happened last time and besides we don't even like each other."
"Now that's a lie." Farkle says.
"Farkle-"
"Maya, just tell him." Farkle pleads. "It's bad enough watching you guys pine over each other all the time and the fact that you've pretty much moved in says a lot."
"I don't want to complicate things and break up. I want Lucas in Rion's life. If not being with Lucas so my son can have a father in his life is what I have to do then so be it." I say quietly as I bite my lip and sigh.
"Nothing will happen." Zay says.
"I'm Maya freakin Hart. Something always happens. I've already almost messed what we have now up twice. I can't risk a third time." Lucas happens to show up just in time to make Zay shut his mouth.
"What'd I miss?" He asks.
"Nothing." I smile.
"Great. Let's go. Riley is going to freak if we're late to Topanga's." Lucas says as he picks Rion up.
We file out one by one. When we get there Riley, once again, is all over Rion. I'm glad her and Rion have gotten time together. She's absolutely amazing with him. We wait for the boys to get the food and I watch Riley swoon over my baby.
"Ugh, he's so adorable. I just want to eat him up." She sighs.
"Tell me about it. Who knew I could produce such an adorable baby boy?"
"Maya, your kids were bound to be gorgeous and then add some Lucas Friar genes and you have an absolutely perfect child." Riley starts baby talking with Rion. "That's right, Ri. You are going to grow up hot all because your mommy and daddy-"
"Okay, Riley. We don't need to tell him." I laugh.
Rion gets passed around during the course of our lunch. By the time Lucas gets him he's exhausted and a bit fussy. We decide to take him home for his nap. We say bye to everyone and head home.
Once we put Rion down I realize just how exhausted I am. With me moving into Lucas' house things have been a bit chaotic. Mom isn't mad as long as I bring Rion over often and Lucas' mom is more than happy.
After I get ready for bed and fall in bed next to Lucas. I face the ceiling and he turns to face me.
"What's up?" He asks.
"What is this?" I ask.
"My room." He jokes.
I roll my eyes,"Lucas, I'm serious. What is this? What are we?" I ask looking at him.
"I don't know. What do you want it to be?" He almost seems...hopeful?
"I don't know." I answer honestly. What do I want?
"Let's just sleep. You look awful."
"You should see yourself." I laugh.
"Maya, I'm always good looking."
"Whatever you say Huckleberry." I smile.
"Goodnight Maya."
"Night Lucas." I say as I drift to sleep.
