Chapter Eighteen|Trees

  Lily sat outside of Aslan's How drawing in the notebook she had with her when she came. She'd been trying to ignore the Pevensies since the got back from their failed ambush, not really wanting to explain the freshly dug up ground and the blood stain near the Stone table.
  Lucy had promise not to tell her siblings anything but the young girl had trouble lying to them so when ever they asked her, sh would say to ask Lily or Allison. Allison in turn had told the three older Pevensies to ask Lily which lead to the blonde having to find a place that was quite.
  Silently she let her hand glide across the paper drawing branches of a tree. Since returning from Narnia after her first visit, she'd been drawing them, before that she would only pick up a pencil outside of school to do homework or write a quick note say she was out with Thea. But now her room back in Starling was covered with drawings of trees and all her notebooks for her class were full of them.
  "I don't remember you being so sneaky" Edmund said from behind her.
  "I have my secrets Ed" she told him not looking up from her paper.
  "What is it?" He asked looking at the drawing as she finished it.
  "A tree" she said in the girly tone that she only ever used around Thea and at the same time a tone the said it was obvious. "It's literally all I can draw." She told him handing him the notebook "See."
  "Um Lily" Ed said flipping through the pages.
   "Yeah" she said questioningly.
   "There all the same tree." He told her.
   "What? How can that even be possible" Lily said looking at the trees she'd drawn.
   "See" Edmund said flipping from page to page. "All the same."
  "That's why Thea and Tommy think I'm going crazy" She mumbled to herself as images of the drawings one her wall flashed into her head.

  Lily stood beside Caspian watching as the Telmarines a pouched when the Pevensies and Allison came running out to see. They all stood silent unsure of what they should say before running back inside and calling a meeting.
  "We need to send Lucy to find Aslan" Peter told the troops she the only one that's seen him, the whole time we've been here."
  "That's you're big plan" Tumpkin shouted. "Sending a little girl out into the wilderness all only."
  "It's our only chance" Peter said.
  "And she won't be alone" Susan and Lily said in unison.
  "Haven't enough of us died already" Tumpkin asked the Queens pleadingly.
   "Nikabrik was my friend too" Trufflehunter the badger stated. "But he lost hope. Queen Lucy hasn't and neither have I."
  "For Aslan" Reepicheep said drawing his sword and holding it over his heart.
  "Then I'm going with you" Tumpkin told Lucy.
  "No" Lucy told him "we need you here"
  "We have to hold them off till Lucy, Susan and Lily gets back" Peter said.
  "If I may" Caspian said getting everyone's attention. "Miraz may be a Tyrant and a murderer but as king he is subject to the traditions and expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy as some time."
