Vol. 9

My mom freaked out at the dinner table, "She what?!" "Mom for the last time and its not that big of a deal, she just threatened me." I knew I sounded stupid but I didnt want her worrying so badly. My mom now shook her head in disbelief and said, "we're switching schools. I dont want this for you. My dad stepped in,"Sidney. I really dont think that will be necesary. I mean didnt you hear her? Akasuki is expelled." I appreciated my dad for taking my side. He was finally back from a bussiness trip he had been on. This was his first night with the family. I nodded back and looked at my mom. 

My mom was out of people that would that would take her side. She looked to Takumi but he just shrugged while keeping his head down and eating. She stood and walked angrily away from the table. My dad sighed and chuckled, "Well now you've done it, Miku" I smiled at him. I had really missed him. And not just for the three days that he had been gone I mean the days where I never got to see him because he had emergencies. I felt like I barely knew him but I knew that I loved him. For days he had been wearing this stressed expression on his now aged face. 

"Dad" I asked,"Umm are you okay? I mean how's your day?" He looked up suddenly at me. Then he answered,"Why. Er..I mean. Yeah I mean fine. Yeah." Even Takumi looked up at this. Suddenly my dad stood and walked urgently away muttering something about having to go comfort mom. I watched him go sadly. Just like my mom did almost every other night. Then i looked down at my food and decided I was done, too.

I walked up to my room and sat on my bed. Then i got up to look out into the yard on the balcony. The cool air brushed against my face. I closed my eyes and breathed it in. Then I remembered that I had forgotten my sandals at the dining room. I walked back to the table. When I got there Takumi was sitting in my seat eating the rest of my food. I gaped at him....because every one else's food was gone as well. He stopped with the fork halfway to his mouth. Then he closed his mouth and put the fork down then handed me my sandals. 

I took them and turned back to the stairs. When I looked back Takumi was already finished. He let out a small belch and fell asleep right there. My eyes got wider because what he had just done was very adorable.

I was running through the forest with Akasuki's threat replaying in my head. "You will not make it out of this High School alive!!!" I ran and ran with a feeling of her being behind no matter how fast I went. Sweat clung to my face. I had been running for I dont know how long and the forest trail showed no sighns of ending. My legs were aching and all of sudden I fell. "Nuh-uh there is absolutely no way Ill be that useless horror movie girl!!" I cried as I got back up and continued running. Now I saw a light at the end. I stopped dead in my tracks. I wasnt going to run towards that light. "Do you really have that much of a choice do you miku?" Taunted Akasuki. I stood there knowing that I shouldnt have stopped because now I couldnt more. I couldnt talk, I couldnt yelp for help and I certain as hell couldnt turn around and nail Akasuki in the jaw.

Then I woke up. On the floor. Takumi stood looking down at me. I frowned as I sat up, "Did you really push me off the bed?' I asked really annoyed. He shook his head and said,"No. I heard you fall off and I came all the way from the dining room to see what was up." I then recallled why he was in the didning room and answered, "ohh okay. Thanks Takumi. I appreciate it." He turned to leave and was about to close the door when I stopped him,"Actually Takumi could you leave it opened?" He rolled his eyes with a smirk but did as I told him. When we was gone I layed down and stared up at the wall. 

I tossed around in bed. No position was comfterable. Finally two hours later I stood and walked down to the living room to watch TV. Then I heard my father's voice on the phone,"Yes. I love you too and dont worry I'll be back soon. Yes this bussiness trip has only two more days to go." he chuckled,"Okay at the hotel now. Bye" I stared wide eyed. He didnt see me. He hung up the phone and massaged his temples. He sighed and stood. He was on his way back up stairs. I gasped and sprinted back up.
