Sorry that it took so long but I am extremely slow at typing so I decided to update a really long chapter because of my fans and I havent uploaded recently. anyway, enjoy and dont orget to VOMMENT!!! the picure on the side is Sarah.
I walked down the bright, white, tiled floor. As I got closer to the cafeteria, my stomach growled in anticipation. I was in such a hurry to get food; I forgot that I had no money. I reached into my back pocket expecting to find my wallet, but didn’t. “What the hell?” I thought, but I remembered the past week. As I slouched back to my new room, I felt a tap coming from behind me on my shoulder. It was Hero. He had a slight smirk like he won the lottery.
“So, you remember when I said I would see you around later?” he questioned. I thought back on the events that happened in my room, a few hours before. Sure, I remembered, but wouldn’t it be better to mess with him?
Putting on a bank face, I questioned, “Who is Amy? ‘ I’m Vanessa”. I pretended to be baffled by the name and idea of even knowing him.
His face sunk and the smirk placed on his face turned down to a slight frown. It looked cute, like a little boy that got his candy taken away from him. Resisting the urge to smile or laugh, I looked sympathetically at him. “Did you lose someone?” He turned red, similar to this morning, but more embarrassed looking.
“I-I-I’m sorry,” he stuttered “I thought you were someone else”.
“It’s okay. Everyone makes mistakes,” I said trying to genuinely look forgiving and sympathetic when all I wanted to do was laugh my a** off. He walked away slightly sulking. I chuckled. The imagery reminded me of an abandoned puppy and I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I laughed. I laughed so hard my sides hurt and I could barely breathe.
“What’s so funny,” he whined incredulously, narrowing his eyes and slightly pouting at me as he turned around. “ You tricked me didn’t you?” he said, his voice slightly rising. ”You’re so mean!” he exclaimed pointing at me. All this while, I couldn’t get a coherent sentence in because of my laughing. I mean, it was hilarious. He went off into a rant about god knows what while I regained my breath.
“Wow, you’re really gullible too.” I said wiping tears out of my eyes. “I’m sorry,” I apologized. “I didn’t mean to offend you”. He sulked and looked away. “ I’ll go for breakfast with you as an apology,” I suggested amused.
“Sure!” he replied excitedly, quickly recovering from sulking.
“As long as you pay,” I mumbled.
“Is this a gold digger I sense?” He questioned playfully. I blushed from embarrassment. “Just because I’m the son of the owner of this hospital doesn’t mean I have money,” he said wiggling his eyebrows.
“I assure you that I am not-WAIT WHAT?!” I exclaimed. “ Why are you bothering with me?” I asked. “Answer my questions for Christ’s sake,” I screamed exasperated.
“I’ll tell you when we go eat.” He stubbornly replied.
“No I can wait for you to explain yourself,” I impatiently said tapping my foot against the tiled floors. It clicked. Why didn’t he tell me? Oh wait. He just did.
“ You sure?” he said with a smirk.
“Positive,” I replied smugly. I just wanted to slap that smirk off his face. Looking at him, I waited for the explanation. The seconds on my imaginary clock slowly ticked by and dragged its hands across the circular base. He looked defeated and was about to talk when my stomach grumbled.
The lack of food I had received for the past three days and counting took its toll on my body. My face turned red from the embarrassment and the contradiction of my past words. Utter horror slowly sketched unto my face.
