Chapter 1| Good Morning Beautiful

Joey’s POV

I opened my eyes. The sunlight beamed through the window into my eyes causing me to blink like crazy. I closed my eyes and breathed in the morning air. I felt like all of this was a dream, my life was too perfect to be real. I turned around to see Meghan fast asleep. She looked so peaceful. I smiled then leaned over and kissed her forehead. She moved in closer to me then she rested her head on my chest. I felt like the luckiest boy in the world. I looked down to see her all cuddled up in a little ball. I knew I had to get up but somehow I just couldn’t. I leaned down and whispered into Meghan’s ear “I love you Meghansan”. Suddenly Meghan woke up. “Good morning beautiful” I whispered. She looked up at me then smiled. Not just her usual smile though it was more of an evil one, like she was planning something. All of a sudden Meghan pushed me and I fell out of bed. I lay there on the ground looking up at the bed. Next minute Meghan’s head popped out from the top of the bed. She stayed there for a minute looking at me then we both burst out laughing. I always tried to make Meghan laugh. I loved her laugh. I climbed to my feet then looked over to Meghan who was lying on the bed facing me. I took a step forward then grabbed a pillow which was sitting at the bottom of the bed. I went to chuck the pillow but pulled it back. Meghan jumped back then looked at me like I’d murdered someone. I laughed then chucked the pillow at Meghan. I loved when we acted like this. Whenever I done something she didn’t like she would give me this specific stare but in the end we just laughed about it. We barely spoke in the morning mostly because Meghan was always too tired. We’d just sit there looking at each other, pulling the silliest faces then burst out laughing.
