8:30AM......
*beeeeeep...beeeeeep...beeeeeep*
The alarm on Graces phone yelled.

This fucking alarm
Will
Be
The
End
Of
Me.

I violently poke my home screen and see that my '8:30' alarm is one of my last alarms with the notation 'gtfu you lazy shiett'

Kill me kill me kill me kill me kill me kill me kill me kill me...it's Thursday, the early lectures ughhh, I completely blanked my past 5 alarms.

I catapulted my duvet from over me to over the other side of the room.
My eyes darted from side to side, examining my premises for any random piece of clothing that may look ok for the day.

LEGGINGS! I grab them faster than a white girl gabbing her Starbucks coffee.

SHIRT! I lunge for it and gaze at it...

Meh it's like 25°C outside so why not?

Meh it's like 25°C outside so why not?

I brushed my untamed curly hair and ignored the puffiness, looked for my converse and slipped them onto my feet before tripping up on the laces.
Before leaving I looked down at my phone.
20 minutes to get there...okay I might do this YES!

My keys were swooped up off of my sideboard and unlocked my door and soon after, locked it again.
The stairs in my apartment complex were deadly, the amount of times I have fallen down them are countless but the elevator was currently on the first floor and I'm on the 10th.
My feet touched the bottom floor and I breathed in deeply before pushing open the glass door that was separating me from the outside world.

I live in the centre of my city and it's pretty hard to avoid runners and people outside the food/ clothes places so I immerse into the world of music by putting my earphones in my ears.
The air was warm, I liked it, the sky was dotted with the odd white cloud and the sun beamed onto the sidewalk and buildings.

OKAY ENOUGH APPRECIATING LIFE, I NEED TO GO TO MY LECTURE.

The song 'Flashlight' By The Front Bottoms came on which made me want to run but I knew that I couldn't deal with the embarrassment of running with several books in my arms, plus a laptop that costed more than my life is worth.

After a good 12 minutes of speed walking down multiple streets, I could start to see my campus building. THANK THE LORD.
My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I looked at it whilst I was walking, it was a text message from my friend Valerie: 'yo, man I'm outside the entrance, hurry uppp 😂'
I went to text back when an impact hit me,
my phone, books and laptop went flying and I ended up landing on my butt with a thud.
For a split second my sight was blurred but I blinked again and I could see all of my books spread across the floor, my laptop was in my lap thankfully and my phone was face down on the floor, earphones pulled out with one still being in my ear.
"Ugh." I heard a male voice groan.
My eyes darted upwards to a bright yellow haired young man on the floor too with his eyes closed and face slightly scrunched up because of shock...I knew this face.
I start freaking out and grabbing all of my books. I know who this is, but I was too stressed out to really notice at the time.
I don't have a great temper at the best of times and unluckily for this figure, they caught me at the wrong time.
"Y'know, it would be good if you used those eyes of yours." I start...I know I was being hypocritical but I honestly didn't have time for this, this morning.
The young man looked at me confused.
"O-oh...I'm sorry I didn't see you, I was checking my watch whilst I was running and I guess I bumped into you."
I ignore his kindness and understanding and I huff.
"Oh no my phone." My heart drops as I notice my phone on the floor.
"Wait...I swear you were on your phone anyway, I remember seeing you from further down the street." He states.
"Uh...yeah." My voice sounded like I was about to cry, it does that for some reason when I'm angry.
"Well if I'm correct, we are both to blame really." He laughs slightly.
"Look man, I would sort this out with you but I'm late for a lecture and I don't know if you can tell, I'm not having a great day already." My face hits my palm.
I stand up slowly and brush myself off quickly.
"Before I leave, are you ok." I asked because he was still on the floor.
"Uh...yeah, sorry, I hope your day goes better."
His voice flowed perfectly for some reason...
I breathe out slowly and calm myself down a bit.
"You too, I'm sorry I'm being a dick, I'm just late and stressed." I apologise seeing as my conscience would hate me later.
"Nah, don't worry about it, we all feel like that."
As I look at him saying that last sentence, I start to notice who he is.
"Hey, aren't you josh-" before I could finish, I notice that he had already started jogging off.

I finally get to school with minutes to spare.
"Dude! Where were you?!" Val scolded.
"I woke up late...and I think I just bumped into Josh from Twenty One Pilots." I rub my head.
"What?!" Valerie really loved them and practically worshipped Josh...which kind of makes me regret telling her.
"Val chill, I'll tell you more after the lecture, it feels like I went through a crossfire to get to it so come on." I shut her up.

Thoughts kept racing through my head throughout the lecture and I couldn't really pay attention to what was happening, it's a good thing that I only had one lecture that day.
I eventually told Valerie what happened and she overreacted a lot, it was almost like she was telling me off for not taking a picture or basically harassing him.
Maybe I'll see him tomorrow too.
