Yoonbum Pov
sangwoo has been leaving more often for the past couple of days and i feel like something bad is going to happen. as if an impending doom is resting upon my head and there is nothing i can do to stop it. of course the doom isn't for me. the world will play its cards to set fire to the icey snow.
these days had been passing by without reason, i just follow what i normally do but at least now i can walk better. i leaned against the wall and closed my eyes. my thoughts lingers to sangwoo and y/n.
she was freshly fallen snow, covering the land in a soft blanket. She didn't kill, she allowed nature to rest and arise again with bright flowers and a warm sun. the icey morning breaths and her pink nose from the freezing weather were always my favorites of the season but she saw so much more.
it was a world wonder to her. she could have so much fun playing in the snow or just admiring it from a window. she made me realize winter was a time of sleep, not death.
but it never changed the way i saw things. staring out the window and seeing ash fall from the sky, i knew fire would consume my life. that's what he is. Sangwoo is a continuous burning flame with the only objective to consume and grow bigger. yet, the warmth of fire can keep one at peace. the sounds of crackling fire when calmed and contained, can keep peace and comfort.
Sangwoo can burn anything he touches, torching it down to its core. he was an element of death but he was admirable. i should have learned, fire is mesmerizing to watch from afar but if you touch it, you'll end up burned.
i guess that leaves me as water. as much as people see water as an element of rebirth and life, it's very easy to contaminate and change. Snow can freeze water, leaving it stuck and repressed while Fire can consume it and alter it to become steam, forcing it to lose its form and control.
it twists my stomach to know what would happen if fire and snow combine.
Sangwoo Pov
i sat in my car. i had driven up by the mall, i was going to meet up with y/n but my thoughts lingered around. i leaned by back against the seat and started to come up with an idea. i needed her. she would play a good puzzle piece in tightening the rope around yoonbum's neck.
i let out a sigh and heard a faint knock on the window. i looked over and saw her face. she was leaned down and waved at me. i lowered the window, a rush of cold air entered my car. "hi sangwoo! i saw you in your car and ah- can i come in there? it's kinda cold" she smiled at me.
i forced a smile upon my face. "of course." i watched her walk in front of the car to the passenger door. she scooted inside and closed the door. she just trapped herself. i smirked.
i stared at her. she was incredibly small even compared to Bum. She fiddled with her scarf, her tiny fingers glided on the fabric. he looked out the window and made a small gasp. "it's... i-it's raining!" she seemed overly surprised.
suddenly her mood changed drastically. she seemed upset. "i hope it gets colder... i prefer snow..." she frowned. i ruffled her hair and made a smile. it cheered her up somehow.
she sighed "but the rain isn't so bad. the sounds of the pitter patter and the calming feeling of the droplets on your skin is nice... almost cleansing." she seemed lost in thought, thinking about something... or someone. her gaze was focused on the window, seeing each drop of rain hit the glass. "it's silent yet it's not...it's so small and yet, it's so.... it's different from snow but it's...he is-" she turned towards me after catching herself. "sorry! i didn't mean to ramble!"

Fanfictionthe start of winter was always my favorite. The first snow of the year always scared me as a child. It wasn't the fact that every plant would be buried under sheets of ice or that this season was known to be the season of death.
