Beth's POV:
"You'll be safe here," whispered a voice in her ear, the smooth air pushing the hairs on the back of her neck up. Her ears were ringing as if a war bomb had been implanted right there...Maybe it had.
"Who is she? What's she doing here mummy?" Squealed a voice. A blurred head hovered over me. I blinked as everything came into focus a bit more. "Hmm?" I mumbled, slowly gaining strength again. "Are you ok?" Questioned a slim woman, her chest barely bearing a lump. A smaller figure zoomed around. "WHO IS IT, WHO IS IT?" The girl squawked. She had stretched blonde locks with a baby pink sweater covering up to her knees. Where was I? She couldn't possibly be my sister...Right? My breathing grew heavy as my eyes produced crystalized tears. They rolled down, falling onto my torso. I was lost, wasn't I? "Don't cry sweetie!" Worried the woman, rushing around like a headless chicken. "Oh dearie me!" She lightly dabbed my cheeks with a hanker chief from her pocket, which made me feel a bit more comforted. "You must be hungry, here." A hot tray of steaming goods was laid on my lap. It was a feast, toasted buns with jam, sandwiches of every description, fizzy...I was in pure heaven. I dug in sprightly. "Wow, you were right mummy. Is she staying here forever?" Worried the girl, looking envious of me. "W-well I'm not that sure yet. She won't leave until she's old enough I guess..." It was then that I began a new future...to be like everybody else.
I always felt alone. I was like a cow in a sheep pen so I always stuck out like a saw thumb. People started getting used to me by a year or so. I was about 4-5 I remember so I had no idea that I was much different from anybody else. I just allowed life to drift me through it's own winds which clearly never turned out to well. The ringing in my ears would appear again sometimes, randomly. It was a sickening feeling like somebody had beaten the pit of my stomach repeatedly. I didn't know where my family was...But I was gonna' find them.
