Emma's POV:

I'd made it clear to my dad that I hadn't been mingling with anybody apart from my trainees. He'd heard through the grape vine about a mystical Soul being around and how she could enchant you under her spell. Ooo, scary. I didn't care because I knew underneath those deathly pale skins, Souls were normal creatures like you and me. I say me but...anyway. Thing is, my dad didn't believe me. He knew I was old enough to venture the world on my own behalf but he was still my guardian in the darkest of nights. I always had preferred dad...My parents always battled and shouted until one day, my mum put her foot down, ended it there. I must have been 12, but I try not to think about it now...If I did I think I would cry...

Sam's POV:

I creeped round the corner, trying not to alert the neighbours of my presents. I was hoping I could grab a kill with Tali, knowing that she would do anything I did. She was like a slave around me...I liked it that way. I jumped up the wall, gripping to the cobbled sand. When I reached the top I swung one leg over, scanning the area. Once I knew it was safe I jumped to the door;I did this a lot. I walked in without caring, Tali usually could smell me from a mile away. "HELLO!" She startled me, sending me back a few paces. "Hey Tali." She looked splendidly cute with a green bow lightly tucked in her hair with a tartan, turquoise throw over. "Here!" She chucked me a lithe katana. She peered into the kitchen and put her finger to her lips, grabbing my hand tightly and wizzing me out the door. "I've planned it all! We're going first to the cafe, then to the library an--" "Quiet." I interupted and dragged her round to the newest cafe. The one at the holiday home. "I have a plan." I winked, turned and stabbed the nearest being.

Shadow's POV:

I didn't want an enemy, I didn't want anything in the sort. All I wanted was a pack of egg and a new pepper shaker. But that wasn't the answer for her. The Soul kid...We met eyes in the streets as I passed her. "Wait!" I blurted out. She turned to face me. "Who are you?" I asked, tilting my head slightly as I said it. "Whisper." She said bluntly without any hesitation. I wouldn't be surprised if she got asked this a lot. "Whisper...Well it's nice to meet you. I'm Shadow...End." I rarely revealed my last name but it seemed as if she was secretive enough. But, what I planned was not the deal. Her face rose with anger. "END?" She roared, I guess she was abided to the rules of old in temple...how the Ends and Souls were the worst of enemies. "Woah! Calm down!" I flapped, hoping she would calm down. "How dare you talk to me...How dare you..." She tutted furiously and carried on walking. I guess I made a new nemeses.
