The New Guy (Ivan Martinez)

First Day Back

Rynn's POV
It's my first day back at Angeles Arts! I cannot believe I got accepted last year into the finest art school in California
My brother and sister, Caden and Jayde are helping me with my stuff
"Ok that's it, anything else" Jayde asked
"No that's it, thanks guys, I'll miss you" I smiled
"We'll miss you too" they said in sync
Caden is 21 so he's going back to college next week and Jayde is 18, 2 1/2 years older than me
We all hugged and I went into my dorm that I share with my best friend Mack or Mackenzie
"Hey Mack" I smiled
"Hey how was your summer" she asked
"Great, I missed you though" I pouted
"Missed you too friend, now, lets get to class after we change" she said
"Great idea" I said and changed into something presentable

"Lets go" she said after she did her make up
I grabbed my bag and then we went to our first class which was honors trig
We went to our usual spot in the back of the classroom when Mr Jensen, our teacher, came in and said some news no one expected
"We are getting new students today" he smiled
We all groaned and then 2 twin boys walked in
They were pretty cute must admit
"What are your names" Mr Jensen asked them
"I'm Ivan" one said
"And I'm Emilio" the other twin said
Damn, their accents were, wow😍
All the girls were practically bulging their eyes out at them
"Ok well go sit in the back in front of troublemaker #1 & #2" Mr Jensen said motioning to Mack and I
"Who" Emilio asked
"Us" I raised my hand and smiled at them kindly
"I'm Rynn by the way and that's Mack, I'm troublemaker #1 because I like to talk a lot" I explained to clear the troublemaker nickname up
"And I'm troublemaker #2 out of association" Mack finished
"So, does he not like you" Ivan asked
Damn, his eyes were truly incredible
"No he loves us, he likes to joke around with his students so it makes him a fun teacher" I explained
"Ok that makes sense" Emilio said
"So, how did you guys get into this school" I asked
"We're youtubers so they found us and sent us an email" Ivan said smiling at me
"That's really cool, I've wanted to try youtubing but I get too shy and self conscious" I said shyly
"Why are you so self conscious, you have nothing to worry about love" Ivan said
"I don't know, I mean, obviously this school noticed I could sing so they accepted me" I shrugged
"Um, you can do more than sing, you can sing like Mariah Carey vocals" Mack said
"I would love to hear you sing" Ivan smiled at me
"Well, I have a recording booth in my dorm room, so you can come by after classes and we can hang out" I suggested
"Can Emilio come to" Ivan asked pointing to his brother
"Of course" I smiled
"Ok cool" he said
After honors trig, we headed to our other classes and then back to Mack's and my dorm
"Welcome to dormo del Mack y yo" I said trying to say it in spanish
"Nowhere near spanish" Emilio laughs
"Oops" I shrugged and Ivan and I went into my recording studio
"Welcome to my recording studio" I said
"Wow, it's incredible" he awe'd
"Ok, any requests with songs" I asked
"Um not really" he shrugged
"Ok, ummmm I'll think about what song as soon as I find my playlist" I said going on Spotify where all my instrumentals are
I found a song I wrote awhile ago called Not Afraid Anymore (originally by Halsey) and I pulled it up and went into the booth so I could start recording it

After I was done, Ivan's eyes bulged out of his head
"What do you think" I asked
"You sing so beautifully" he said in a trance "and I love that song, who's it by"
"Me, I wrote it" I blushed
Then Ivan got up, opened the door to the actual recording booth, came up to me, and kissed me passionately
Obviously, I kissed back
"I've never been more attracted to anyone than I've been to you right now" he whispered stroking my cheek
I blushed and hugged him
"I know we just met but I feel a connection with you. Will you go out with me" he asked
I nodded grinning like an absolute idiot and pecked his lips before grabbing his hand and walking out of the booth
"Awwww" Mack cooed and Emilio just smirked
I burried my head in Ivan's shoulder blushing because I got a bit flustered
"Aww" Ivan teased rubbing my arm lightly
"Where you going guys" Emilio asked
"Ice skating" Ivan said
"Have fun you two" Mack said leaning her head on Emilio's shoulder
First I got dressed into something more appropriate for ice skating

We got to the rink and of course, Ivan paid
"You know I have money too right" I said
"I know, but you're my girl now, so I pay" he smiled cheesily
"Ivan, seriously I'm fine with paying" I pressed
"Rynn Victoria Schulze, I am paying whether you like it or not" Ivan finalized
"Ok fine" I gave up
"Good" he smiled and pecked my lips getting our ice skates
We got our ice skates on and we headed to the ice
I grabbed his hand as we skated together when one of my favorite songs came on, Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello
"Am I outta my head, am I outta my mind. If you only kill the bad things alive don't think, that I can't explain it. What can I say it's complicated, no matter what you see don't matter what you do. I only wanna do bad things to you, so good, that you can't explain it. What can I say it's complicated" I sang kinda loudly because everyone else looked at me in shock
"She's so good" I kept hearing people whisper
"You are seriously amazing" Ivan whispered in my ear
I blushed and we kept talking about our lives until 10:30 when the rink closed and we had to go to our dorms because of school
He drove us back to our dorms and he walked me to mine and Mack's
"Thank you for a very fun night Ivan" I smiled
"Your welcome babe" he smiled back
I fumbled for my key card and then Ivan kissed me again
"Bye" I waved to him
"Bye" he smiled waving back
When I got inside, I saw Mack was asleep so I snuck into my bed and fell asleep
