First Volleyball Game

Rynn's POV
Today is my first volleyball game and I can't believe Ivan is going to be there to see me!!
I got my #5 like always and I was pumped to play on varsity again
I woke up in Ivan's bed with his arms wrapped around me and his shirt off
I definitely was not complaining though
I turned myself and I was now facing him
I smiled and nuzzled my head in his neck and pecked his jawline until he woke up
"Morning baby" he said in his hot morning voice
"Morning babe" I smiled and pecked his lips
"Do you want breakfast" he asked
"Yeah" I said
"Ok come on" he said going down and then I did
"Oh look, the lovebirds are awake" Tessa teased
"Shush" I said
"What time is your game" Jake asked
"5:00, what time is it because I have to leave by 2" I said
"It's 11:30 so you're good" Alissa said
"Ok, well I'm going to eat something so what do you guys have" I asked
"Eggs, pancakes, make anything you please" Nick said
"K thanks" I said and made pancakes
While I was making them, Ivan came behind me and hugged me
"I seriously can't wait for your game, I have a sign and everything" he whispered in my ear
"Oh really now" I asked laughing
"Yeah, let the other guys know you're my girl not there's" he said
"Ok, if you say so" I said sarcastically and kept making the food
After I was done eating, Ivan and I decided to hang out for awhile before I had to go

"Ivan, I have to go" I said as I was sat on his lap and he was editing
"What?! Nooo" he pouted hugging me tighter
"I have to babe, I'm sorry but I have to warm up" I said
"Give me a kiss" he said puckering his lips
I kissed him and then got up, grabbing my stuff, and exiting out the door

I got to my designated locker in the school's athletic lockeroom and I grabbed my black uniform which is my home uniform
I also informed everyone to wear all black for the blackout tonight
"Hey hey Mack" I said
She was a cheerleader and the cheerleaders cheer for the volleyball team as well
"Hey hey, also the football team is going to be here today" she said
"Well I got Ivan and all of Team 10 to come as well so it's a win" I squealed quietly

I saw Ivan and Team 10 walk in 5 minutes before the biggest game of the season because we have lost to this team for 49 years in a row, if we make it 50, it's the biggest drought and that's not good for us, but if we break it, then it will be all over LA news

I went up and hugged Ivan for good luck because I was freaking out
"We haven't beaten this team in 49 years I'm freaking out" I said almost crying of nervousness
"Shhhh, baby girl, shhh, you'll be fine. You are so strong ok, I love you and go kick ass" Ivan said hugging me and rubbing my back
"K love you too" I smiled going to my team
I am the setter so I'm very important as well, oh boy
The first set started out kind of shaky for us, we only have 6 points against their 20
And they won with a 5 point serve run
"Girls, take a deep breath, and don't let this get to you, but I think we have to unleash the weapon. Rynn, you are now a middle" Tony said
"Ok" I nodded
Ivan saw me go to middle and he was confused so I held up a finger saying hold on
But even though we got 18 points, we still lost
Now we are down 2-0, but somehow this set, we're getting momentum
I got 10 aces in a row and 4 kills with 7 blocks
We won that set but are still down 2-1

This set we stepped it up and started playing so much better and more confident
The crowd was going crazy, the football team was going especially crazy
We won and now it's 2-2
"Amazing job girls, I think our captain would like to say some words" Tony said
"Ok girls, we are playing amazing! We were shaky at first, but we stepped it up, so I say, we make history and defeat them once and for all" I said getting everyone pumped up
"WARRIORS ON 3, 1, 2, 3, WARRIORS" we yelled and did our little dance

It was 25-24 by the near end, we were winning
We knew what we were going to do
Sara served the ball to the other side where they bumped and set the ball but I blocked it and they hit it again so I set it and controlled it to Gwyn, our new setter and she set it to Maci, our outside but she was blocked
I saw no one was going for the in ball so I ran and saved it thus everyone going crazy
I went back to my position and I was going to try something I have never tried in my life
"9" I called
Everyone was confused so when Gwyn set it, I stepped right, then left, and then I jumped my right side facing the benches and I hammered the ball straight to the diagonal left corner and when I heard the boom of the ball hittin the floor, I knew it was over
I just won us the most important game of the season, and ended our 49 year drought
Everyone who went to Angeles Arts was on their feet and celebrating the biggest win of the year
I went up to Ivan and I hugged him tightly crying of happiness
"I knew you could do it baby girl" he said twirling me around
"I love you so much babe" I said still crying as I looked into his beautiful blue eyes
"I love you too baby girl, more than anything" he said and kissed me
I finally saw what his sign said and it said
'#5 on the court, #1 in my heart❤"
"Aww I love the sign" I cooed
"Well it's true" he said
We took a picture for instagram and he posted it
