First days are always the worst. You don't know where any of your classes are until that day, but not this year. Senior Year. My names Callista Mendes and I got to East LA High School. I'm considered popular because I have nice clothes, a lot of cars and I'm the cheer captain. But I don't care about any of that. The only thing I care about is parkour and that's it. My main focus. Where I disappear too.
I pulled into the school parking lot and all eyes were on me,like usual. It's kind of annoying after awhile. All of my friends tell me no matter what I drive to school they can hear me from a mile away. I drove my 2013 blue Ferrari on considering my truck was in the shop, but I must admit it is one of the loudest vehicles that I have. As I revved my engine to make people move out of my way faster I pulled into my usual parking spot next to my best friend Ashley. She liked speed and didn't care all that much about her safety, hence her 2010 black ninja motorcycle today.
As I got out Ashley rounded my car with her backpack and helmet. She was wearing red skinny jeans and red Jordan's with a black V-neck shirt, her long brown hair was in a high ponytail and her makeup was perfect making her blue eyes stand out. Today we had pep rally to start off the school year. I too was wearing red skinny jeans and a black V-neck with my hair up and dark makeup making my brown eyes a couple shades darker, but I had knee high red boots on. Grabbing my bag I shut the door and locked the car.
"Well don't you look like a copycat today" she said to me. I looked over to see her fixing her bag on her shoulder.
"No we just chose to dress alike today. Hey are we still preforming at pep rally?" I asked curiously as we opened the doors to the school. All eyes were on us as we walked through the halls to our lockers.
"I think so. I texted Cameron to have everyone here by 8 and its....." she paused to look at her phone. " 7:50" I nodded in approval and turned to my locker.
"Guess who?" said a voice behind me with their hands over my eyes.
Scared the shit outta me for a second.
"hmmmmm I don't know." I pondered.
" Could it be Shawn??" I asked with fake enthusiasm.
He removed his hands and I turned around. He leaned forward and gave me a quick kiss. Shawn has that cute short brown hair that all the guys have these days and piercing blue eyes. He's 6'1 compared to my 5'1 I felt short, but I liked it.
"Good guess." He breathed against my lips. I turned back around and opened my locker. "Heard your preforming today" he said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I grabbed my bag of clothes to change into and looked over to see Ashley motioning me to the gym. I nodded my head and she walked away.
"How'd you know? And keep it quiet. We don't want people to know it's supposed to be a surprise." I said turning around with a frown on my face.
"I have my ways. I got to go but I'll see you at the rally." I nodded and gave him a quick kiss as he headed off to class. I shut my locker and looked down the hall to see Cameron walking towards me. His hair without gel looked weird but he had a beanie on so that worked. He had baggy grey sweatpants and a white shirt on.
Typical.
"Cameron!" I screamed as I ran down the hall. "The hell took you so long?" I asked. He nodded towards the gym and I looked to see everyone there.
"In the gym already." He stated in a bored tone.
"Alright then let's go you guys need to stay hidden no one can see you or they'll know something's up. None of y'all even go here soooo lets go" I grabbed his arm and dragged him to the gym. Once inside I shut the door and walked towards everyone.
"OK everyone. You cannot be seen so everyone...... TO THE LOCKERROOM!" I shouted with my hands pointing to the locker room. We all walked in and sat down.
"So Ashley and I will be synced and do the same thing but opposite sides of the gym. Everyone has to do the same. You'll be in here for about an hour or so. This is how the Pep Rally is going to go. It's going to take about 20 minutes to get everyone separated in the gym. Then we are going to have the loud contest. Next the cheerleaders will do a routine, the only people that will walk in here for that is me and Ashley so we can change. Then while tug of war is going on we will come back and change into sweats for the performance. We will announce that we have a surprise and the lights will dim then you can come out." Everyone nodded their heads and started talking.
Setting my bag in one of the dressing stalls I set my cheer uniform and sweats out. I walked out to see Ashley walking towards the door. Running up to her I said, "You ready to show everyone what we do every day outside of school. " I smirked. She just nodded and we walked out of the locker room back into the gym. Everyone knows that pep rally is one of the biggest things in our school. The seniors get to plan out everything that happens. This year everyone, even the seniors are going to get a surprise. Our school is one of the many hotspots that we come to, so we can train. I don't understand how no one ever sees us.
A lot of people try to follow us after school to find out what we do. We always disappear and no one knows where, not even Shawn knows what I do. We've been doing this since freshmen year and no one has ever succeeded. Everyone was seated at their own parts of the gym and now it was time to get things started.
