Grace's P.O.V

I look up at Luke, a small frown on my lips as his words register in my head. "What do you mean 'not exactly'?" I ask and Luke let's out a sigh and tugs on my hand, clearly wanting to take me somewhere more private since people are still roaming the halls, obviously skipping class.

What happened to the plan while I blacked out? Will this mean that I have to tell Eve now about Amy? Oh dear lord, I will not be able to do that.

"Okay," Luke says, pulling me out of my thoughts and I look around to see that we are now sitting in his car.

Wow, that was quick.

"When you passed out, the bell went and just as planned, Eddie walked in but before Amy could see Eddie, the principal had dragged her to his office." Luke says and I let out a groan, running a hand down my face.

I knew something would go wrong.

"Well, where is Eddie now?" I ask and Luke runs a hand through his hair, a sigh escaping his lips.

"He said that he has to go to Germany immediately because the people who are coming after his father have already got him." Luke says and my eyes widen in shock.

"What?" I say and Luke nods.

"I know. I tried to get him to stay until he finds Amy but he wouldn't have it. He is probably on the plane to Germany right now." Luke says and I let out a sigh.

"What do we do now?" I ask and Luke shrugs.

"The only option we have is to go talk to Eve." Luke says and I shake my head, my hands covering my face.

"I don't want to do that."

"You have to. It's the only way." Luke says and I lean in the chair, dropping my hands on my lap as I close my eyes. Luke runs his hand up and down my shoulder, making me feel somewhat calmer.

"When do you want to do it?" Luke asks and I let out a sigh and open my eyes, looking over the window to see the school. I lick my lips and swallow the lump in my throat.

"Now." I say and Luke frowns.

"Wait, what?" Luke asks and I turn to him and send him a reassuring smile.

"If I want Amy gone, this is the only way, like you said." I say and before Luke can say anything, I put my seat belt on and lean back in my seat.

"Let's do this."

The car stops in front of my house and I let out a sigh, beginning to unbuckle my seat belt. I open the car door and breath in the cool air that surrounds me.

I look up at the house and chew on my bottom lip, beginning to walk on the pathway that leads to the stairs. I notice that Eve's car is in the driveway but my father's truck isn't so I guess it is just Eve.

I look back at Luke to see that he is leaning against his car, watching me. As we were driving here, I told him to stay in the car but now... I don't even know if I will be able to do this without him.

Shut up, Grace. Stop changing your decisions last minute and stick with the plan, my brain pushes and I nod.

I can't back out now.

I breathe in a sharp breath and bring my hand up, closing it into a fist before knocking loud enough so that Eve can hear me. A few seconds pass before I hear footsteps coming closer to the door and I breathe out a shaky sigh as I watch the front door swing open, revealing a tired Eve.
